Part 1
Pankaj tells them that he's there to congratulate Brij and Sushma, and is happy to have his entire family there in one place (Your family? Members of your family are so disgusted w/ you & your CM that they've dropped like flies over the last month - your parents, your bros & SIL Sudha) KK demands to know w/ what relationship is he calling them his family? 👏 The smirks on Deepu's, Padma's & Poonam's faces disappear, as Pankaj shamelessly tells him that while in society and in the papers their relationship might have ended, the Sharmas are still Pankaj's family due to the baby in Jyoti's womb (So Pankaj seems to like private, under-the-table rishtas? Talk about 'characterless') He tells them that they cannot negate this relationship in blood. 😡😡 Padma laughs, and notes that they were discussing this yesterday, and now here is Pankaj. This is a calling from God, and a new decision. 😡😡😡

KK explodes, and rolls up furiously to Pankaj & Padma. He asks Padma where were the gods and her decision when this person kicked Jyoti out of his house? Where were they when this man had despicable things to say about Jyoti in court? 🥳 He tells everybody very emphatically that the baby in Jyoti's womb is Jyoti's, and hers alone 👏 Pankaj has no rights to it!!! 👏 He physically pushes Pankaj away , and warns him against even thinking about getting Jyoti's baby.

Pankaj goes down on his knees and addresses him as Papa, but KK tells him that he has no relationship w/ him, and tells him to get lost (I'm glad that nobody thought of remembering the relationship he has through Sudha, not that that will help him claim the baby) Pankaj tells him that he admits that he made a mistake, and was guilty b4 them, but he begs for one last chance, telling him that Brij has opened his eyes. He says that by witnessing Brij & Sushma together w/ their kid, he's getting his world-class ehsas of what he has lost. He asks why his kid should be punished for the sins of his father - it needs its dad. It needs its family.

KK tells him that he wants to be forgiven on the basis of a person who's not even born. He asks him to consider KK's situation - think of Jyoti, whose tears haven't yet dried, and what effect it has on him. He shoves Pankaj 🥳 and tells him to get lost, and that he has nothing more to do w/ him. He calls Deepu and orders him to evict Pankaj. He then starts coughing (I'm not a fan of his coughing, but this time, it was directed @ the right guy 🤣) Padma asks him to calm down, and Pankaj asks him if he's okay. Deepu asks Pankaj to leave (finally, this cretin shows some sense) A nurse arrives from outside, and asks why is there such a commotion - there are other patients as well 👏.

Pankaj taps Jyoti on the shoulder and tells her to come home 😡 adding that while he concedes that he has no rights to ask her that, he tells her to do that not for his sake, but for their baby's (Jyoti, that's one reason why you should have aborted the day you discovered you are pregnant). He tells her that she should do it for the sake of its future, and that w/o her and their kid, his family is empty (your family is empty for other reasons, but let's not go there again) Finally, he turns & leaves.

KK starts coughing violently again, and tells Jyoti not to listen to him. 👏 He tells her not to make this mistake. Padma tells him that this time, he's making the mistake. (Why doesn't KK divorce her, and tell her that she can keep her kids - Deepu, Poonam and if she likes, Sushma & Brij as well?) She tells Jyoti not to listen to either of them, but to just listen to her heart (what makes you think her heart will return her to Pankaj?) In the meantime, Pankaj walks out, w/ flashbacks of what he's just told Jyoti.

Kabir is sitting @ home, and after getting flashbacks of his last meeting w/ Jyoti, he hurls the ghungroo bell that was on his mantlepiece, and it falls @ Amit's feet, since Amit has just arrived there. Amit asks him what's the deal - the thing he kept next to god, he's throwing it away? Kabir tells him that when his faith is broken, even god ain't w/ him. He tells him everything is over. Amit responds that love is not a pawn of anything else, and just Jyoti's saying so doesn't end it. He points out to Kabir that he knows Jyoti's situation - she's doing everything that she's doing under duress. Kabir says that regardless of the reason, he's the one who lost. Amit tells him that neither did he lose, nor his love. He asks Kabir that when she told him all that, didn't he notice love in her eyes? He tells Kabir that he's making a mistake, and to talk to her. Kabir tells him that there is nothing left to discuss - she's given him her unilateral decision. (looks like Amit is to Kabir what Uday was to Pankaj)

In the hospital, Brij tells Jyoti that Pankaj still loves her, and genuinely regrets what he's done (since when did you become an expert? Mr Saint, please focus on your TB and your new baby, and avoid butting into Jyoti's business - you are the reason she's gone through hell the last 2 years 😡) Brij tells her that every decision is changable. He tries to persuade her of the importance of her kid having its father, and its family together. He begs her not to avoid the truth, and tells her her whole life is ahead of her (well, Brij, it may not be if she goes back into that hellhole) He tells her that one bad decision from her will make the rest of her life hell for both her and her baby. He tells her that she may probably be able to rebound, but her baby would have to live its entire life w/o its father, and its name.

Part 2
Padma is sitting next to Jyoti in the waiting room, and pressurizing her. She shows her how happy Sushma is w/ her family. (Like they say, only in movies, and TV dramas) She tells Jyoti that that's what she wants - Jyoti to be happy w/ her (Jyoti's) family (thank you, Padma, for the reminder that the Sharmas are not Jyoti's family - ever since your wretched marriage, it never was) She tells her that she knows that Jyoti can support it w/ her money, but it's not her money it needs, but its identity, which it can only get from its dad and his family (this is a priceless statement, in a manner of speaking, where Jyoti is supposed to be the money guy, and that gazillionaire Pankaj the one who provides the identity. If that's what it needs, Jyoti needn't be in the picture) She asks her not to sacrifice its future for the sake of her ego. She tells her to return to Pankaj and give him one more chance, telling her that time changes everything.

At this point, Poonam helpfully joins them, and tells Jyoti that everybody here is telling her the same thing, and not everybody is her enemy (Poonam, somehow, you forgot your Papa here, who's advising just the opposite. Aside from him and Dadi, everyone is her step-family, as you once pointed out) She is getting one opportunity, and it's for her to grab it. Padma tells her that she must have seen how dishes are cleaned by being beaten, and similarly, sometimes, parents have to be harsh to show their kids the right way. (except that here, the parents are split on which is right - or left - or wrong) She's giving her 24 hours for her decision, and she wants it by then (that was the problem, Jyoti, w/ getting rid of Kabir just to make those step b🤬hes happy. Still, hopefully, you can reverse that) She then laughs her evil laugh, and tells her that she wont tell her anything, since she's her step-mom (thanks for reminding us, Padma - I was afraid that you had forgotten 🤢).

At this point, Dadi comes to Jyoti's rescue, and asks Padma & Poonam to leave (Whew!!! Finally!!!) For a change, she assures Jyoti that she'll support whatever decision she takes, and tells her that while it's true that a girl's home is her sasural (not after she's divorced, Dadi, and definitely not after that hubby has re-married) but marriage ain't essential for a woman (I'm 😲 to hear Dadi, of all people, say this) b'cos after the gods, it's women who create life. She understands that this is a trying time for Jyoti, and the only answer to it lies in her mind. She suggests that she close her eyes and meditate on this, and she'll get all her answers. (I think I prefer KK's approach - just ignore the 🤬 Pankaj
😈
)

That night, Pankaj entered his house, and this time, CM was there (this time, I'm glad she's back). She demands to know where he had gone, but he ignores her. She demands an answer again, and tells him that she had never taught him to disrespect elders (no, that's just something you alone naturally do). He says that he had gone to fix his mistake, and CM remarks that her suspicion was correct - he had gone out to see Jyoti. She demands to know why was it necessary to meet that characterless cheat, who is carrying somebody else's baby and roaming about town w/ her new boyfriend? Pankaj yells @ her and shuts her up, and tells her that she knows fully well that that baby is his! And he was not going to tolerate a word said against his baby. Bhairavi yells @ him but Pankaj tells him that nothing will change by her yelling @ him. He tells her that Brij has told him everything, and Bhairavi is shocked. He says that until today, he was silent b'cos he respected her (that's reason #1 why you deserve neither baby nor Jyoti) but if she's going to insult his flesh & blood, he'll cross all limits against her. Today, b'cos of her, he is separated from his kid. He warns her against trying to come in between him & his baby. He then leaves (It's noteworthy that while he spoke up for his kid, he still didn't speak up for Jyoti, even though now he knows that every slander against her was a lie. Yet, he expects her to come back to him. I hope CM has him 🤢ed)

Next morning, Jyoti is praying @ the plant shrine, and notes that while her parents named her Jyoti, today this Jyoti herself needs enlightenment. She recalls Dadi's advice, and does her prayer, and suddenly opens her eyes. Looks like she has found her answer.

Part 3
Jyoti meets Ritu, and discusses her problem w/her. She tells her that she neither wants Pankaj's name, nor Kabir's company. She tells Ritu that she alone can take care of her kid.

Ritu asks her to excuse her, but points out that this time, it's not her family, but she who is wrong. Ritu also thinks that perhaps, a few years ago, she too was wrong. She says that in this society, a woman can certainly live single, but a single mother - absolutely not! She tells her that in this patriarchial society, women in such situations are not respected. She tells Jyoti that when she was first labelled characterless, the most important thing to her was her honor, and she had resolved not to go back to him. She however tells Jyoti that she does sometimes wonder whether by taking such a decision, she was unjust to Bubbley? After all, a kid needs the support of both its parents. It doesn't just need both, it has a right to both.

Jyoti asks her why she didn't marry a 2nd time? Ritu responds that she didn't find anybody who she thought could be a lifetime companion - a friend who would unconditionally accept her as his own. A father, who would love her daughter wholeheartedly, grant her his name. She then points out to Jyoti that she is very fortunate to have Kabir in her life. She tells her that Kabir won't just give her kid his name and love, but would also restore all the colors in her life, and restore all the light that's gone out of her life. She urges Jyoti not to let this opportunity slip from her hands. She tells Jyoti to marry Kabir 😆👏
🥳

Jyoti gets up and leaves, and walks away. After walking some distance, she starts getting flashbacks of the day's events - like KK's statements, Padma's demands, Ritu's suggestion, Pankaj's request, Kabir's advice to her,... Then, she starts getting echos of what everybody has been telling her, and blocks her ears. The episode ends.

Comments

Today's episode was marginally better than yesterday in that the voices either opposing Pankaj (KK) or advocating Kabir (Ritu) had their say. But there were enough irritants here.

So Jyoti's entire step-family - Padma, Brij, Deepu & Poonam - are rooting for Jyoti to go back to Pankaj, under the same retarted argument that sent Sushma back to Brij. Bad as that decision was, Brij was the only one causing Sushma's misery, whereas in Pankaj's case, CM made her life a living hell. And Padma certainly had the gall to give Jyoti an ultimatum regarding Pankaj. That's more likely to work against her goal, rather than towards it. She obviously thinks Kabir is out of the way. And Brij - I don't care how you've been lately - haven't you hurt Jyoti enough in this life? The last thing she needs to do is listen to an a🤬wipe like you. And please spare us the argument of if Brij, why not Pankaj - that's like arguing whether cat poop is more digestable than dog poop. 🤢

I'm glad that KK treated Pankaj w/ the contempt he so richly earned, and started coughing, so that even that dweeb Deepu had to ask Pankaj to leave. Pankaj had the gall to ask Jyoti to come back. Before that, Pankaj-ji, you need to clarify the relationship w/ Neelam, and understand that your home has place for either CM or Jyoti, but not both. Uday made that choice long ago, and she's his own mom, as opposed to your aunt. But he had more sense than you. Actually, today was a double treat - Pankaj being scorned first by KK, and then by CM. Good, since Neelam is no longer going to do that.

Speaking of which, I liked Pankaj's showdown w/ CM, although it was very abbreviated. This time, I was rooting for CM, only so that she'd remain a successful roadblock in Pankaj getting back Jyoti - I'm no longer undecided. That said, it was funny to see her when he told her that Brij had told him everything. One thing noteworthy was that while he attacked her for separating him from his kid, he didn't have a word to say about her separating him from Jyoti. One more reason why he shouldn't get back Jyoti - Brij at least wanted Sushma back, not just his baby.

I hope that the next few days, we see a Neelam who's completely in love w/ Pankaj, and daily Pankaj vs CM fights. 😈 In such a scenario, the case that someone can make to Pankaj is that if he isn't willing to accept that Neelam has improved, how does he expect Jyoti to buy his pitch to come back to him?

I'm glad Amit kept the Jyotir door open for Kabir, and Ritu for Jyoti. I particularly agreed w/ what Ritu told Jyoti - it was my exact argument the day she surfaced - that while a woman can live single/unmarried, it's a different proposition when she has a child. I'll confess that I didn't like this argument in this context, since it seemed to reinforce Pankaj's case, but at least, Ritu went on to advocate Kabir, which none of the Sharmas have done until now. However, I do agree materially w/ everything Ritu said, and Pankaj being the apparent beneficiary of this doesn't change that. However, one thing about the honor factor that Ritu cited when weighing whether to return to her hubby or not - whether Bubbley was being wronged - I think Ritu did the right thing by not compromising on her honor, but could have settled for joint custody, which would have given Bubbley her rights, w/o compromising Ritu's.

When Ritu first surfaced, it seemed like she'd encourage Jyoti to be a single parent, but as it turns out, she seems to be here more to indicate the pitfalls. Maybe Ritu can become an item w/ Amit, assuming that he takes a liking to Bubbley.

If for the smallest reasons, Jyoti does decide that her baby needs Pankaj as its father, one last sacrifice is worth making on her end - just hand it over! Refuse to go back to Pankaj, but hand over the baby, since that's what he wants, and that's what it needs - the name. If Neelam is repentant, Pankaj can ask her to prove herself by loving this baby, which won't be blind like daddy is, and then they can have more. Just b'cos the kid needs a dad - which it does - is no reason for Jyoti to make her own life
miserable again. Let Pankaj figure out what to do in case society asks about its mom. If Jyoti, for whatever reasons, decides to placate Padma, then do this, and then either accept Kabir's proposal, or leave the house and maybe move in w/ Ritu.

Final scene - something tells me that Jyoti will have one more of those attacks, and this time, it's probably going to be the last. Nobody she knows is around, except maybe Ritu. That's one more ending that's still preferable to Jyoti going back to Pankaj.

Contrary to what some of the actors may have told their FB buddies here, somehow, methinks this serial is headed for its end.

Episode rating: 👎🏼

Pretty intense emotions in this one. My apologies for so many in-line comments, but it was tough writing all of this just sitting down

Pluses: KK reading Pankaj the riot act, Pankaj vs Bhairavi showdown, Ritu pointing out all the right things to Jyoti

Minuses: Brij & Padma trying to talk Jyoti into accepting Pankaj

thanx vrisha..tell me y wud people watch this depressing crap when there is a show wid lot more positivity at the same time???
anyways,i think pankaj is a rat bas***d..period..firstly the guy shows no repentance whatsoever...there is no apology even to jyoti abt HIS behaviour..ther are only ultimatums and blackmailing and blame games...even tht other rat bas***d brij who turned saint atleast accepts his "mistakes" unconditionally..secondly,all pankaj keeps harping abt is his child..and all his insecurities are revolving arnd ONLY his child..like vrisha said, even when CM was swearing at jyoti all he stood up to defend was his "blood"..as if the child's mother is a fricking incubating machinery wid no individuality..and his only argument is the so-called welfare of the child..which i franky dont see wid pankaj..the child will have a worse future at the vashishts than even wid jyoti..coz i dnt thnk neelam is equipped to take care of him/her..she is stuck wid pankaj coz she has no place to go..dump a baby on her head and she will go ballistic..and our Mr. ehsas has no way of knowing how the baby ACTUALLY is being brought up..coz the entire family barring CM and neelam have disappeared for good..

What faisla did jyoti take in this week why the hell CV's showed this in the promo that dikhiye jyoti ke jindagi ka sabse bada faisla, I think just because nobody is watching this serial that is why to increase the TRP they have shown this promo and that ritu has also given good suggestion to jyoti on kabir, jyoti will become very successful after listening to her suggestion😆 and I don't understand why this whole drama is going on if she is not interested to marry any one.

Yahi to CV's ka trick hai dear
They said "Jyoti ki zindagi ka sabse ahem hafta" not " Jyoti ki zindagi ka sabse bada faisla"

They wanna drag this to the next week

and I m really excited ....
