And the winner is....anorexia?

The results @ the Mrs. delhi competition was soooooooooooo lame & gave out such a wrong message! The girl who didnt eat for 1 week, somebody who's anorexic, "sacrificed" chocolates & all kinds of food to maintain her body...wins the competition?🤔 I mean seriously...how mature were the judges in such a big competition? That was the ONLy part tht i have been extremely disappointed with in today's epi...otherwise the epi was fantastic as usual. The show needs to look before wat messages they r giving out...somebody who is anorexic CAN'T be considered a "beauty queen" or an ideal image of tht.

hmmm i thought of that too, but then when i thought over it again i realised that the directors showed a realistic view, of course i dont support it but the fact is that beauty pageants are not always 'fair' and not the most deserving person wins. The winner is chosen before the pageant even starts, its all become a business now.

I think the show was trying to portray the thinking of judges and how extremely lame beauty peagents have become in todya's generation. From the start where the judges seem to try and manipulate Anjali to get out of the show, till the end where the bhooki pyaasi bechaari wins.. I think it very well displays today's materialistic and superficial society and media.

i think what the directors tried to show was that all beauty pagents aren't fair and somtimes deserving ppl don't win.

what i think they were trying to show was that Mrs Dehli is just a title that doesnt mean anything! Anjali didnt win but it doesnt matter cos in the end she had something better than those other contestants, she had her family and support and a beautiful baby.

I think it was pretty clever, they showed the ugly side of these competitions, although true TV style a bit exaggerated so we'd get the point. I think they were trying to show that although they did not want a pregant women, they think it would make there pagent look more accepting if they make her top 5. "look at us we're so accepting kinda of thing" But to make her win that would be unheard of, then all pregnant ladies would want to. Very clever story I thought, that why I love this show and rishta.com

hmm if they were trying to show the reality...then really kudos! like tht was so shocking...cant belive in happens in real too...society has a totally lame definition of beauty now :|

I think this was a brilliant attempt by the creatives to get the audiences to think about the shallowness of such contests and the titles. This was an awesome satirical approach to get the message across. We as "audience" are very good at judging things from an unbiased point of view when we view it from the outside as opposed to when we are present in-the-moment. Based on the comments on this thread, i think the creatives were successful in accomplishing what they were trying to do. KUDOS!!!
