Big plans for Sonam Kapoor's birthday in Edinburgh

The unit of Mausam has planned for a special birthday surprise for Sonam Kapoor who turns 25 on June 9. Says a source from the unit, "This is the third birthday in the unit since we arrived in the last week of May. It was the director's birthday on 29 May, and then it was the producer's birthday on June 3. Now it's the leading lady's birthday next week. And yes, we have big plans."

Since Sonam has never celebrated any birthday away from home, Shahid Kapoor and the rest of the unit want to make it as special for her as possible.

Special privileges
One of the best restaurant-cum-clubs in Edinburgh is being booked for the night of June 8.
Says the source, "We are all going to pack up early and head to have fun. And that means everyone from Pankaj Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Supriya Pathak to Shahid and the youngsters and we'll party till the wee hours. We may even delay shooting the next day. That's how fond Pankajji has become of Sonam. He allows her liberties that he won't allow his own son."

But the biggest surprise awaiting the birthday girl is that her father is flying down to Edinburgh for his daughter's birthday. Papa dearest, who is in Colombo for an awards event, will fly down to Edinburgh to be with the birthday girl. Momma Sunita is already there.

Shahid is personally looking into all the details for Sonam's birthday.
Says the source, "Shahid and Sonam had their first major workshop on Wednesday. And they hit it off instantly. Both are shy by nature. But seemed to enjoy each other's company in no time at all. During the course of their conversation, Shahid came to know about Sonam's birthday. That's how the plans started taking shape
