I'm an only child.. but, I've seen some of my friends complaining that their moms are more considersate 'bout their brothers.. there are exceptions though..
I get along with my dad more than I do with my mom.. My mom and me are pole opposites and end up fighting over every little thing.. 😆 My dad's the one who's on my side.. but tries to calm us both down..
Maybe it's all about who prefers who? .. 🤔 I prefer my dad over mom in everything and anything! But the love they get is all the same.. I think it's the same with them, generally the boys are hand-in-hand with moms.. and same with daughters and fathers.

yes it is just the way it is in relationships and often we cannot help it.
Being an only child does change the equation to some extent but not seeing eye to eye with your mum does happen due to personality differences I guess.
