May be they have named their main characters with the qualities they do not possess!!! Ichcha- sacrifices her desires for others. Veer- has no 'veertha'. Tapasya- total opposite of the meanings given by arunimaji. Vansh- his Khandaan feels ashamed of his drug habits and locks him up!!! So the story may move in such a way that Ichcha gets her desire (or happiness), Veer acts with courage, Tapasya really repents(?) and does some tapas (which is very unlikely!!) and Vansh upholding the family name by behaving nobly. Let us atleast hope for the best!!!

Thanks arunimaji. The trouble is, I watch tv only for a limited time as I love reading books. I am writing here because I find the comments here more interesting than uttaran, the only serial I am watching!!! But the way this serial is dragging on, I may stop watching it, but I love the intelligent and hilarious posts by many talented IF members here.

Well, may be we should consider the short name - Tappu.

In tamil, tappu means wrong, mistake.

Now atleast in one language the name is justified.
