Lagaan too! I know it's supposed to be the best movie ever made yadda yadda....but I actually fell asleep within 10-20 mins of it. Never got around to finishing it.

Yea De dana dan's climax was your typical priyan climax where all the characters that he builds in his plot during the movie come out together and then starts the comedy of error. I would say that I love how priyan makes his comedies... and structurally builds them. My fav priyan comedy will always be the original hera pheri though.

I think Lagaan has that patriotic thing attached to it.. so if you are not Indian.. you might not like it.. and the thing about cricket also.. if you are not into cricket its hard to like the movie.

Lol, I hate cricket (no offense intended) but I really liked Lagaan. Some other movies that I could not finish were De Dana Dan. I usually like the stupidest comedies but here I just turned the TV off. Maybe I was annoyed at someone.

Chameli was another movie-I found the acting blah.

Love Story 2050 took me 4 days to get through. I tried to like it, but I just couldn't.

MNIK-less said the better

@ Simran....Interesting, so you liked Lagaan despite not being a big cricket fan? I made the assumption coz lagaan does have a lot of cricket in the movie. It is a pretty engaging movie for me as it narrates the story of underdogs beating the odds in the most beautiful way. The setting is rustic and music by AR rahman is soulful as usual. The inspirational and patriotic feel of the movie is amazing..... wish it would have won the oscar.

I love Lagaan..actually I thought Aamir was a british and I was like why does the indian guy has to be soooo white?????????,

I'm not a cricket fan AT ALL even if when I was 5/6 some little british kids taught us so (tanned kids lol) when they used to come on holiday in my island some bit of it....it seems like an old habit for them lol

I love the movie - I was stuck to it from the begining to the end!!!!!

Lil don't even get me started on my Aamir praising spree! The guy is a genius. Lagaan should appeal to all the people of all the countries who have felt what is like to be colonized in the past by the british. And the way the movie entangles that theme in a very light way and shows the conflict in form a the most beloved sport of India is just commendable. Aamir has played Bhuvan with the right amount of innocence, naivety and uprightness. The supporting cast and the setting of the movie is plus point too. I have noticed that the inspirational factor in all Aamir khan movies always makes them run away hits.
