Now maturity and responsibility is subjective. You can't generalize and say that everyone child has none of these traits. And I think, if the child really does falter out by wasting too much time on excessive internet and cellphone etc.., he/she will automatically get bad grades, and will hopefully learn their lesson. But, then the responsibility factor comes into play: whether they care or not? For me, I do care about my grades, and would therefore spent less time online/texting.

Debu, rules are not made by keeping exceptions in mind.. i know a tall 10 year old who can drive a car veri well.....even the stick shift.. that doesnt become grounds for setting this as a rule... besides establishing this correlation is also cumbersome.. so.. put that cell phone down the drain and finish your home work...😆

Well, as long as I'm not doing anything illegal, no one can stop me😛
Why would I wanna do that? I have 3 remaining days of holidays, and tons of stuff to catch up to. Screw Bio!😆

If the children are anything like me or my siblings then it is definitely dangerous With full freedom of the internet I spent my early teen years chatting with friends. I look back at the way I used to type and it is so embarrassing. When I first got my cell phone I spent more than half of the night on the phone talking on the phone with friends. Specially male friends. Then when I started dating it got worse.

I think parents should think and secure before providing these things to their children ...if they want to give net, no problems install filter softwares....there is 100s of software there to filter and block unwanted sites,... and if they want to give cell phone, educate appropriate cell phone behavior to their kids.....personly I dont think parents should provide a cell phone to a school going kid ...😊
