Why not? Aren't children individuals too? Don't they have their right to the First Amendment???? However, at the same time, the child must manage his/her time in a better manner and have a sense of responsibility on which sites to go on/not to give out too much personal info about him/her

disagree becoz thats hardly ever the case...that children learn responsibility and how to manage his time from stuff like this at young age
i mean thats not a general rule
generally they would chat with friends for hours or look at sites which they shouldnt
even when they dont do somethng wrong ....at the age where their main priority should be studies unfortunately becomes the last priority

kids are not adult and we should not expect from them sense of responsibility...this is the age where they learn how to be or what to be
i dont think they should be given free reins...it only spoil they for good

Yeah, there's a certain age and time for everything. So when should it be appropriate for children to have access to internet and mobiles?

Providing cellphones and net to children is dangerous period. There is no research on this, but it seems to fry their brain cells. Over time they lose the ability to form coherent thought, spelling and grammar and the following is the result.

Prviding cellphones nd net 2 chldrn is dangrous........is no resrch on dis but it freis da brian sells......or time da lose 2 think..........dat is k cos if not da childrns be so borng lyk da above....you agrees?

Qwerty ji - Most Brits do not consider American English as English... My comment was a light-hearted reference to it 😛
