the word waris is so popular in many of these soaps as this in case matheli and bhavrai producing waris. what is the hang up with the waris?? 😡 😡 first of all how can one expect the unborn to automatically be a waris....it is a 50/50 chance that it will happen....on top of that who can predict the sex of the baby immediately..it takes sometime..and of course if it is not a waris then it is the woman's fault...excuse me it is the man who determines whether male or female...the x and y chromosome....
so retarded when they show the waris thing.....
waris is the name given for the boy to be born...what is the word for a girl....does anyone know???? 😡

Indian shows are stepping backwards in time! These serials are horribly regressive! In a country where female infanticide and selective abortions are rampant crimes, they are whipping up a frenzy for Waaris or Male heir! SHAME ON THEM!
I know thats a fact of life in India, family elders expect/urge the bahu to produce male progeny but do they have to harp on that ugly reality in each and every show? 🤢

the topic is being taken too far and is very negative when they keep on mentioning it....i whole heartedly agree with you...why don't they reflect a more positive side and show contributions girls and women make for society these days, which is many. i would love to see that kind of message in this show or any show for that matter. if a boy is not born in a family it does not mean the world is over, but that is what is shown in these shows....you would think for 2010 things would be more updated...... 😕 😕 😕

Thats why I like Ekta's shows. Her heroines are usually very strong characters, nobody harps on them for producing heirs... 😆 Usually there are 3 or 4 sisters in her shows, no brothers... 😆 (Kasam Se, Kahin Toh Hoga)
In most of her shows, heroine has a daughter or 2 daughters, like Kusum. Most of the women are portayed as working women, modern and in sync with our times! They run the family business or support the siblings by working.


As for these other shows, I hate how they exploit the victimization of poor women (Agle Janam), female infanticide (Iss des naa aana Laado), child marriage (Balika Badhu) and sensationalize these terrible crimes on Indian women and children! 😡 They are not portraying reality, they are glorifying these demonic customs, justifying their existence by not offering a solution to these burning problems!

i have not seen any of ekta kapoor's shows, but they sound very cool especially since she has strong female characters. i like that. need to check out some of her shows. i have heard of her and know that she is the queen of soaps and has made many of them. i heard she use to make shows that all started with letter K in the title.

so what shows does she have at the moment one can watch that is on air? give me some titles...
