I've been a silent reader of this forum for a very long time. I haven't watched this show from the beginning, but have seen some of the horror Pratigya has been through.
I feel both are to blame for what has happened to them AFTER marriage.
Pratigya's mistakes:
Marrying Krishna. I know she was trying to save her family and whatnot, but seriously, how could she have even thought of it? And since she did marry him, seeing the type of person he was, how could she expect anything better? I mean, she believes he kidnapped her and beat up her finance, so why would she expect him to be better than that and to respect women?
No communication! This is one of her biggest mistakes. Since marrying Krishna, she should have told him how she felt about what he has done. She only told him that she hates him meanwhile he can't understand why. He's asked her.. why couldn't she say this is the stuff you put me through which is why I hate you?
Not realizing that Krishna is a product of his world. Since she started living with Krishna, she has seen the type of mentality he comes from. She should have expressed her feelings towards this mentality to him alone and explained to him how wrong it is. It's not as if Krishna completely agrees with it. He told his mom that he doesn't mind helping his wife out in the kitchen or rubbing her feet, etc. Perhaps her feelings about such things could have changed him for the better.
And NO, I do not think she should have given into him physically. Not until she loves him. I'm glad she did not do that. I just think they need to talk things out properly and the honeymoon was the perfect time as it was away from home and all the yuckiness there.

Attempting to rape her. Seriously? Hurting a woman like that is not going to help gain her love. It will only fuel her hatred.
Not trying harder to find out why she hates him. Again lack of communication. Why not sit her down and ask her nicely?
Slapping her. Again, he knows how much she is opposed to such things. If you really want things to work out then slapping her is the farthest thing from it.
No understanding. Krishna shows no understanding towards Pratigya. He knows what she dislikes for sure yet he goes and does that. Why does he do it? It only makes the situation worse like the whole pregnancy thing.
No patience. Love takes time. He expects her to fall for him after one small attempt? He needs to have more patience and realize that she has said she hates him. He needs to find out why and correct it if he wants her love.
Guys, as far as the whole abuse thing goes, Pratigya will be back with Krishna (as it's a show and that'll happen), however, I'd like to see a changed Pratigya and Krishna before she does and I hope they communicate and hash things out properly. Sorry for the long post.
