i always see a candle burning to spread ambience and light to its surroundings, while its flame flickers at times as if struggling to keep itself alive for other's comfort, though diminishing slowly and slowly. body melting......., flame flickering.........,hopes dying......, darkness enveloping, that's how armaan's life seems right now.
i am trying to figure out his feelings. he his putting in earnest efforts to bring riddhima's happiness, so that he would feel happy himself but will he remain happy after riddhima goes in sid's life? riddhima is trying her best to save her loveless marriage , to escalate her self esteem, to revive her respect in sid's eyes who thinks she is cheating her.
has she cheated on him physically? no she is a traditional girl and would never ever allow anybody else to touch her. but does that mean she loves her husband?
day before yesterday, when she was trying to pacify yuvi's anger and pain, she was explaining him about his future that lay ahead, the hope which never dies.
a new person enters your life, holds your hand and struggles to take you out of darkness. she was remembering sid and wished that she could live with him because he was there for her when she needed armaan the most.
but didn't armaan help her in her most painful times? he healed her wounds every time. he went away from her, inflicting all pain and miseries on himself and facing them alone, then wouldn't riddhima want to caress him, devote her life for this wonderful man, who was ,is and will always be dedicated to her throughout his life?
it doesnt feel strange to see riddhima wanting to live with sid just because he healed her miseries with his care and compassion, added to the fact that she is now his wife. one thing which makes her attached to sid is that he helped her when they were on hostile terms with each other, with out expecting any thing in return[ during her search for armaan]
but didn't armaan do the same?
i think the fact is that armaan is her happiness and sid is her duty. if she goes back to her happiness, neglecting her duty then she would be termed as selfish and unworthy wife which riddhima wouldn't be able to bear.
the other fact is that she takes armaan for granted. its only when he drifts away from her, she feels the void and the importance he holds in her life. so every time armaan tries to bow out of riddhima's life, they end up getting closer. he tries to create opportunities for their reunion, but ends up getting entangled closely to riddhima as if even god also wants to bring these love birds back on track.
i am glad that she acknowledged armaan's efforts and felt for him. at that moment, she felt sad and guilty because of his condition because she knew that armaan would never be able to live without his riddhima.
yesterday two scenes, which struck me the most were dupatta scenes. it sums up their lives so clearly.
sid-ridz duptta scene 'wonderfully' a result of armaan's plan was so significant of this married couple. it showed how much ever people try to bring them closer, riddhima would not feel the same heat, compassion, magic and love she felt when armaan was there. she felt on top of the world when armaan was there . as she glanced sid with unfazed and blank expression
as sid tried to take of her dupatta unsuccessfully, showed sid's condition. it shows his attempts to send riddhima away from his life, which were not sincere and honest at all and that he never ever wanted riddhima to go away. finally, riddhima herself came forward to take it off, she wasn't comfortable and may be the day will come when she herself would call off this marriage with sid as her dupatta.
on the other hand, her dupatta entangled to armaan makes her heart skip a beat, her eyes dreamy and searching for love in armaan's eyes and on the other side armaan smilingly but reluctantly trying to free himself of the dupatta showed his sacrifice he is making. he is freeing riddhima of his life but not his love so she can live happily in her marriage. but i want him to see the reality. see where riddhima actually feels liberated and becomes the same old girl he had left
