I am catching up with old episodes, but today read that article about Shantanu's identity...so, I thought of my post, which I had posted sometime ago..............Hiten portrayed the role of the hurt son quite well.............Behind that evil smile, I feel, is the pain and tears of the hurting son, who is longing to be held with love by his mother....Very fact that he was born on Shree Ram Navmi day (birthdate of Shree Ram proves that he has Ram like good nature, Shantanu is like Ram and Dev is Kanha)...The fact that he loves his mother so much, is quite evident, when he tries to stop Vaishali, from cursing his mother..........He is craving for the acceptance and love from his family members especially his mom......He has shown respect towards Dadi and also women in general, calls Radhika as Radhikaji......and Mrinalinji.............It clearly reflects that all is not yet completely lost with him......He has anger and hence his path is wavering, but the day, he gets love and acceptance from the family, he will be truly reformed..........

I am waiting for the episode, where Vaishali is just a mother, not an ex RP, not a bahu, not a wife, just a Ma, whose needs to shower the love on a son, who has been deprived of this love for 28 long years................I want to watch the emotional breakdown of son- mother........

I do agree with u that Shantanu is not a gone case. He can be resolved. He has been brought up with good values. In fact if Vaishali would have not given him up, he would have never tried to take revenge, as he is doing it today.

Yes the painful look and adoring look which he gives to Vaishali when she refers to hims as his son is very much evident, as how much he craves for his mom's acceptance.

Even today when Vaishali went to his room and pushed him to the door, he had a hurt and painful expression in his eyes. He was just trying to figure out and was getting hurt by knowing that his mom hates him so much, that although she has seen him after so many years does not embrace him but pushes him off the house.

He was just looking at her with the hurt expressions when Dev was pushing him off and insulting him, that how she was looking at her family insuting him quietly and not doing anything to stop it.

When Vaishali stopped Dev, he looked at her with an expectant look that she would say the truth. When he found her short of words, he even gave her words such as tell the how I am related to u all ?? Tell evrybody the truth...

But unfortunately his mom was so weak that she twisted it once again and u could see that crooked and slimy smile on his face when he heard them, which told him plainly that his mom was weak and only cared for herself.

The day, the family specially Vaishali accepts him whole heartedly, he will change his creepy ways immediately.

Yes anu, Shanatnu would only change after the show down between the mother and son, till then he will go on creating havoc in RaDev's life.

Shantanus inner heart is craving for his mother's love, as he knows, its only his mother who knows about him and has forsaked him. He want only his mom's acceptance and no one's else as he knows his mom is the only person who has given him up and the rest of the family is ignorant about his existence, so there is no question of giving him up at all.

He is cold only to Vaishali due to ths reason but is warm to others
