Part 1

Pankaj & Kabir don't bump into each other. Kabir goes ahead and asks a nurse about Jyoti, and is asked whether he's there to discharge her? She asks him to wait, and that after some time, she'll be discharged. Kabir thinks that if Jyoti is about to be discharged, he'd meet her @ her home (why not just wait a few minutes for her to come out, and join her?) He then leaves. Jyoti's family too is asked to leave her room for some time, while they complete her treatment.

Inside, 2 nurses are gossiping in Jyoti's room about how she has no signs of marriage on her, and that neither her hubby nor anyone from her sasural came to see her (nice job, Bhairavi - you have just made your family look like meanies) Jyoti just sighs @ those remarks.

Pankaj is loitering w/ that bouquet, and a nurse comes and asks him who he wants. He asks about Jyoti Vashist, then stops himself and asks about Jyoti Sharma, and gives the nurse the bouquet, and asks her to give it to Jyoti. He tells the nurse not to tell Jyoti who came to give it - she'd know. He then leaves. The nurse takes the bouquet to Jyoti, and tells her on being asked that she'd know who it's from. The other 2 gossipy nurses remark that there must be some mystery here - a guy from nowhere just gives her flowers, w/o leaving even his name? She looks so innocent, and her family is still supporting her? They remark that she must have sold her family a cock & bull story: she seems to be very cunning. Just then, Deepu comes in and overhears their comments. He walks up to them and hands them the discharge papers, duly filled. He then demands to know what they were gossiping about his sister? He tells them that Jyoti ran their family, earned for them, got them educated - he's her younger bro, but treats her like a mom (except when dealing w/ who she has as friends) He asks them how they'd like it if someone said this about their sisters? The nurses apologize, and leave. Jyoti smiles @ him (I was expecting her to lecture him about how good those nurses were, but thankfully, even the CVs seem to be tiring a bit of the masochism)

Later, the entire family is gathered in her hospital room, and Jyoti asks whether she can be discharged. The nurse tells her that since she has such a good family, she needn't stay there. Everybody is happy. She prescribes some meds to be given to Jyoti for a week. Sushma arrives, joins them & hugs Jyoti. She tells Jyoti that Brij has indeed changed, and that by pointing this out, Jyoti saved her from a major sin (Oh, for pete's sake, this is such 🤬🤬🤬🤢 - so Sushma's going to reverse herself on the adoption?) Padma, Deepu & Poonam look shocked and skeptical, KK looks surprised and Dadi looks happy.

Sushma however tells Jyoti that she's already promised that baby to someone else, but Jyoti tells her that separating a kid from its mom is a bigger sin (what a bunch of bull🤬) She asks Sushma not to worry, and that she'd meet them and convince them (that same old 'mein hoon na' 🤬)

Elsewhere, Pankaj is sitting tearing off petals of a rose, and Neelam arrives and asks him whether he's not ready? She also asks him whether it's worthless to ask him whether he'd come w/ her or not? Pankaj asks her to understand - that before, he had.... and asks Neelam to leave him alone. Neelam now gets angry and asks him that if he so loves being alone, why did he marry her? 🥳(Finally, someone treats this loser the way he deserves) She says that when she goes out alone, her friends look @ her askance, and tells him that at least for her sake, he can put on a charade of being her husband? Pankaj points out that he did go w/ her to her parties, but her friends are all about money and status, and nothing else (dude, if you really had a problem w/ that, you'd have gotten rid of that leech of yours who you call 'choti-ma') He tells her that he can't adjust in that crowd, so please understand him (how about the gazillion times Jyoti had to adjust to his, or more precisely, choti-ma's crowds? I'm glad Neelam is giving him this) Neelam tells him that she can see and she can understand - on paper, he has gotten rid of Jyoti, but even today, she's still in his heart. Saying this, she walks away in disgust. Pankaj then starts getting his stupid old flashbacks of Jyoti.

The Sharmas arrive @ home. This time, for a change, they give special attention to Jyoti, giving her a seat, and Jyoti, in her typical masochist style, tells them that she'd become lazy if pampered so much (I preferred it when the old Bhairavi used to force her to do things like rest, even when Jyoti had other things in her mind). Padma tells her that from now on, she needs to be lazy. (Somehow, an epidemic of sainthood seems to be breaking out in this show. Just waiting for Bhairavi next). Dadi gets her something to eat.

Brij arrives and knocks on the door. Sushma opens it. He looks @ everyone in the house, as their smiles all turn to frowns.

Part 2

Sushma invites Brij in. He is coughing away to glory, and Sushma gets him a glass of water, and tends to him. (This is nauseating) He asks Jyoti how she now is, and she smiles and says she's fine. She tells him that she's happy he came, and Brij tells her that it was God's grace that he met Kabir. Thanks to him, he could reconcile w/ his family. He tells them that he'd do all it takes to make Sushma and their kid happy. Then he resumes coughing away to glory.

Jyoti tells him that he needs to start by taking care of himself, and starting treatment. Deepu addresses him as 'Jiju', and tells Jyoti that he'd treat Brij. Poonam looks @ Deepu strangely (somehow, she's the only one making sense to me once again) and Jyoti remarks that her brother has grown. Deepu says that it's taken him a while, but he now understands his responsibilities. Padma smiles @ him, and St Brij tells St Deepu that while he appreciates it, he no longer wants to be a burden on anybody. Jyoti tells them a proverb (which I couldn't make out - someone please explain), and they all smile. Jyoti however asks Brij that if he can't take care of himself, how can he take care of Sushma or her kid?

Brij asks them if he has their permission to take Sushma back w/ him? Jyoti refuses, saying that Sushma won't go w/ her. Everybody looks surprised, but Jyoti says that this time, Brij is going to marry her properly and then take her. She asks Sushma whether she'd marry Brij (whatever happened to her school plans and all that? Also, ain't Brij supposed to be the one popping the question?)

Part 3

That night, Jyoti is lying in her bed, and for a change, Padma comes there to check on whether she's had her meds, and praises her for what she did. She regrets that they could do nothing for her nor Sudha's marriage (thank god Padma wasn't there @ either), but now Sushi... They'd make all the arrangements for it.

Jyoti's phone rings, and it's Kabir. He tells her that he expects that she's back home from hospital, safe & sound. He tells her that his phone fell in the mud, then nobody had her new number, now thank god aunty finally phoned the academy. Jyoti asks him whether he's going to go on, or whether he's going to let her give him the good news. Kabir tells him that this is the first time he's hearing someone so happy after an accident, and asks her what it is, and she tells him that Brij came, and that everything is now reconciled. This time, he has to accept her thanks, since had it not been for him... She also tells him that Brij & Sushma will have a proper wedding. Kabir asks him whether he should come from the brides side, or accompany the groom's barat (of presumably 1) Jyoti laughs and tells him that it's up to him, but he's invited by her. All this while, Padma is smiling @ this conversation. Kabir tells her that he'll arrive from the groom's end, and asks for malai-chamcham, pooria,....

Next morning, Deepu is singing (and he sucks!!! 🤢🤢🤢) at the prospect of Sushma's wedding. Padma says that there are lots of things to do, and Jyoti says that she's prepared a list, which she'll give her (for once, Jyoti is delegating) Padma sternly tells her that she needs to rest. Jyoti suggests the hathi-vasant hall, and Sushma complains that only the rich get married there (if I recall right, that was where Pankaj & Jyoti married) She also considers recalling the caterers for the godh bharai (I really hope Deepu can budget for all this, since Jyoti is now being finally rested) Deepu sternly perks up and tells her that she'll neither book a hall, nor call any caterers. Everyone looks @ him stunned, and the episode ends.

Promo

Yesterday's shot of Kabir imagining his proposing to Jyoti was shown, in which she dismisses his proposal very flippantly. So presumably, Kabir will propose to Jyoti tomorrow? ❤️

Comments

Today's episode sucked in terms of both Sushma & the Sharmas agreeing to so readily reconcile w/ Brij. It almost shows the writer fatigue in the CVs that they've gone this lame route. So after umpteen tries, Sushma is finally supposed to marry & settle w/ Brij, never mind all her lately laudable efforts to educate herself, give her baby to a childless couple who can take better care of it, etc. Suddenly, the priority of the Sharma family is to get Sushma married b4 her kid is born - what's next, another Saturday 1 hr episode on Sushma's wedding? And you have all these sadhus run amuck - Brij, who won't take money from Deepu but will work in the fields, aggravating his own illness in an attempt to cure it, Deepu, who will from now on be supporting the entire family (I'm assuming that Mahesh-ji is paying him well), and Kabir. Also, if Sushma is going to marry Brij now, what was she doing the last 2 years - being a slut?

Deepu, w/ the nurses, instead of just praising Jyoti, could have lectured them on how would they have liked it if they were the object of gossip, much of it untrue? Throw in some 'who have you been sleeping w/' into it, to rub it in. They're just assuming that Jyoti had become pregnant out of wedlock, and that was the conversation piece?

Finally, the episode we had all been waiting for - the revenge of Neelam. When she was first introduced, we got a peep into her role, but nothing more, but today, she was finally shown to some length. I loved the way she scolded Pankaj. After all, when Jyoti was the bahu of the house, she too had to accompany Bhairavi to strange parties where she knew nobody, and gelled w/ nobody, but was just there as a trophy bahu. And now, Pankaj, poor baby, can't stand the company of Neelam's friends. In fact, Deepu did better w/ Poonam when he accompanied her to her friend's party, and after it, told her that he actually liked them. Pankaj, being a spoilt brat, has no idea of how to do things just for his wife's happiness, and Neelam did well to call him on it. Oh, and the best question - if he so loves his loneliness, why did he marry? Plus he still hasn't let go of Jyoti, has he?

Deepu's final comment - I hope he puts the breaks on some of this, although given some previous episode endings, this may well be anti-climactic. Last time, Deepu got married, the house was riddled w/ debts, and now, w/ Sushma's godh bharai and now marriage, none of this is going to happen? Puhleeezzzzz!!!!

The speed @ which this whole Brij issue was resolved - one episode - after all he's done, makes it look like they want to wind up the serial next week. After all, once Sushma marries, what's left? Just Kabir to propose to Jyoti - that's tomorrow, and her to either say yes, or Pankaj returning to her? Not to mention Padma seemingly having really cleaned up her act this time. And then, maybe Jyoti's wedding. Even if she goes back to Pankaj, she would still have to re-marry him, no? But I do hope she says yes to Kabir, and has the wedding, and expect Bhairavi to be all goody 2 shoes, since Jyoti by marrying is finally out of her way.

Hopefully, tomorrow, we'll see Kabir propose to Jyoti, now that she's back to being happy w/ him. Also hope that the Sharmas & Brij will also prevail on Jyoti to accept it. From that standpoint, it's good that Brij didn't get to spill the beans to Pankaj.

Episode rating: 👎🏼

Pluses: Neelam's long overdue scolding of Pankaj

Minuses: The entire Sushma track

Virsha,
Must say your writing skills are commendable. i wish I could write like you :)
As you mentioned it does seem as to they are winding up the show by next two weeks. All that is remaining is Kabir getting to know that Jyoti is pregnant, confessing his feelings for Jyoti, Pankaj getting to know the "truth" and then leading a life filled with guilt. Ofcorse the end of Bharavi at the Vashisht Mansion.
I just hope Kabir would be still strong with his feelings for Jyoti even after he comes to know Jyoti's pregnancy for I see a slight chance of him trying to unite Pankaj & Jyoti. ( I got this idea after seeing him trying to convince everyone to unite Brij & Sushma).
Even I never got what was the need for Sushma & Brij's wedding. It seems that Sharma's are used to spend money for no reason. I hope Poonam does drill some sense into them.
The muhawra is "Saari duniya ek taraf, Joru ka bhai ek taraf " for Duniya ki baat sune ya na sune magar joru k bhai ki baat maanna padega warna joru naraz hojayegi!!!!!!!!
Please CV's dont let Jyoti die in the end, just make sure she ends up with Kabir. He does over do things like Jyoti but he is far better than LOOSER.

i beg you guys...dont watch this. i want the trp to drop like crazy coz it seems that is the only way the CVs will see some sense.

Such a sad way to end an otherwise superb serial.
