This appeal is from a loyal viewer who is originally born in karol-Bagh ,NEW_DELHI and this was the sole reason this name caught my attention. Having said that I personally have never liked or watched any Indian shows or serials before but Karol-Bagh promised the goods to bring the TABOO issues in the Indian society and that is what derived me first towards this show and after I got addicted to it hook- line- and sinker. Given the story does not appeal to me some of the times but over all the issues like the YOUNGER-BOY. Vs. OLDER WOMAN, THE UNWED PREGNANCY, THE REALISM OF THE SHOW, VERY REALISTIC COSTUMES MAY BE TOO REALISTIC!! AND ABOVE ALL NO MYTHS AND BLIND-FAITHS IS the reason I stayed with this show and having said that I for one know this show has the potential to go in history and beyond that. So these were the accolades for the show.
Recently in the western world this buzz is going around that now the creative's are getting ready to introduce the very controversial very tabooed topic not just in INDIA but anywhere in the world. My request for the Sun shiner's is to do your research and then think it twice and may be thrice before you go gallivanting on this road because the roadblocks are many and praises none.
RAPE is an extremely touchy and least talked about issue and on top of it human sexuality is another complex issue and hardly well understood. In the past we have witnessed karol-bagh entering in the unknown domains without the through research and the facts to back it up. That being the case with the more lighter topics now to venture out with this serious topic brought to the public the caution should be used and is a MUST.
I am well aware of the facts that your industry thrives on the galore of such topics and the issues but like I said this is a serious issue with the after effects and the mental status and not to talk about the medical repercussions for such a cult to happen .. Very sensitive issue on terms with the feminine gender and their families.
I read somewhere that your shows are taped well two weeks in advance and for that I guess it is already too late for us to appeal to stop the airing of this episode but Karol-Bagh being the master of bringing issues openly I do hope the delicacy is needed and a thorough research would help to bring this issue not only to educate the public of the side effects involving this torturous act but also the awareness too. If the rape scenes are going to be shown please make sure that the consequences are also shown. And them being the shame on the part of the feminine gender , sexually transmitted diseases, the legalities ,Social ostracization, potential pregnancy and its effects on the entire family and above all the psychological impacts on its young viewers.
But this is my humble request to bring this issue as to educate the public and not to glorify the act and to boost your TRP and the dividends on you banking. Or to show us the rape in the love manifest in its entirety to glorify this vicious act.
Thank-you' for taking the time to read my concerns.
CVs, here is a wonderful opportunity in this show to do what will not only draw audiences but also make this show a landmark one: - A chance to show that love conquers all - and it truly does. Have a united SimBhi overcome their differences to fight all odds together through their love and unity.
- A chance to show that love can work despite the unconventional age gap between the leap pair. If SimBhi grow apart or Mili comes between them, effectively you will show that such a love cannot sustain - that is not what viewers of this show want to see. We have been loyal to this show precisely because we support such relationships and think age is not a barrier to love.- A chance to show how true proven love (SimBhi) can win over parental objections and societal pressures.- A chance to show how a middle class family can survive tough times by remaining united and supportive of each other.- A chance to show that even if a girl makes the mistake of becoming an unwed mother, she can with the support of her family rehabilitate herself. And more importantly, she doesn't have to go back to the man who left her pregnant and unsupported, she can find love again and make a good marriage.- A chance to give us some of the most memorable characters that Indian television has seen... a fun loving yet bright and upstanding young man like Abhi, a progressive supportive father like RS, a bold and yet homely young girl like Mili.- A chance to give us a show with refreshing realism - from the typical middleclass ambience at 12/24 to glorious detail such as women wearing modest nightgowns at home, the man of the house riding a rickety scooter, the frumpy heroine carrying the same nondescript black handbag everyday, repeating clothes, no loud makeup/ sequins/ chandelier earrings, etc. Please don't ruin this show by following the standard issue plotlines of other family dramas to chase TRPs. TRPs can also be earned by standing out as a unique high quality realistic show that provides great stories, great characters and address key social issues.
It would be nice to show a completely different track with Mili
Bana you are absolutely smack on with your post. This is exactly the reason I started watching this show because there wasn't any glitz and glamour and 3 storey mansions and wow look at me!!! My house is bigger than yours and I look much better than you and have more money than you so I am superior to you. NO THIS IS NOT WHAT NORMAL PEOPLE DO. THIS IS NOT THE WAY THE AVERAGE PERSON LIVES. This is what makes this show amazing. It focuses on everyday people trying to survive everyday problems and get ahead. DEAR CVS CAN YOU NOT SEE WHAT AN AMAZING SHOW YOU HAVE but why are you hell bent on destroying what little good is left in the world today of LOVE, HONOUR, RESPECT AND TO TREAT EVERY HUMAN BEING AS YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED. Why are you wanting to show rape, violence, desceit and sibling rivalry. And now to top it off you want to show Mili falling for Abhi is just SO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why not show a united family and make all the neighbourhood jealous of how well they all get along. SIMBHI NEED TO BE AWAY FROM KB . They need to grow together as a couple on their own. Let them sort out their own problems. CVS PLEASE, PLEASE,CVs, here is a wonderful opportunity in this show to do what will not only draw audiences but also make this show a landmark one: - A chance to show that love conquers all - and it truly does. I have written enough on the suggestions/improvements post. So there is nothing much to pen down here. Two major issues were addressed by you when the show started. One was the older-woman in love and marrying a younger guy and second were about unwed pregnancy. And incidents such as rape and about an illicit affair about sister-in-law falling for a brother-in-law are serious issues. Solve the first two issues and then worry about a new storyline for Mili. She is supposed to be 19 according to the show. There is ample time for Mili to be in love and then about getting married. Dont bring in too many issues and confuse yourselves as well as the viewers.
Both the stories were introduced but a sensible script involving these two issues is yet to be seen. The practical problems involving the age-gap issue in the lives of Simi and Abhi is yet to be seen. The practical societal problems in the wake of unwed pregnancy going public was not carried forward in a healthy manner. Are you suggesting people this is the best decision to palm off a pregnant daughter to any Tom, Dick or Harry specifically an insane one so that he would not ask for details. And viewers are still waiting in the hope sooner or later it will be shown.
Why is there no address of lifestyle differences between Simi and Abhi, practical differences while mingling among each other's colleague, or a working wife coming to adjust the conflicts involved if the husband jobless. Any man will have an inferiority complex being jobless and having a dominating wife. Here neither Abhi shows such signs in spite of domination from Simi for wrong reasons.
Why is there no address of Omi and Neetu problems in the wake of realising one's wife is pregnant with another man's child. It is not practical to believe Omi's so called love for his"Tuji". Be practical.
Or please do inform us once if you really don't care to take in suggestions and you feel you know the best.
My sincere request to you all would be urging you to request Zee Tv to appoint a better team to handle international calls. I know the trauma I am still going through to make the person understand that WE ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE SHOW. It is sad. About the 20 odd calls I have made in the last two days through the help of friends, I have had a really bad time. Getting irritated at callers is in no way a responsible staff.
The answer that I get is??..Don't believe anything other than Zee website, it is just a show, see it for entertainment purpose and don't take it to heart. When the response team does not seem to care about the time and effort by viewers, it is really sad.

These two issues have not been addressed properly. what is the urgency for getting a new entry in the form of Mil's lover. If you have lots of money to pay salary for a new entrant why not spend some money on proper clothing...I mean decent ones for the already overflowing starcast?or is it that you dont want mili to feel bad with no one to dote on her like Abhi and Omi does with their respective wives. Please provide us a means of communicating to you directly.Or please do inform us once if you really don't care to take in suggestions and you feel you know the best.
