Bhrigu Shastra : Hindu Astrology : Reincarnation

Bhrigu Shastra is the predictive Hindu Astrology developed during Vedic time. It is a set of horoscopes written by a sage named Bhrigu. The shastras written by Bhrigu shastri was written with a belief attached to Hinduism which is reincarnation and also planets reach their original positions. Thus it is believed that horoscopes prepared by Bhrigu are eternal and valid at all times.

Since till now the conversation between Radhika and Shantanu is not yet exposed, but the only thing I observed is Bhrigu shastra(if I got it correctly). I think Shantanu is a reincarnation of someone in Purohit family who suffered due to some wrong decision made in the past. He might be related to chacha i.e my point is chacha's father who might be the actual heir of the property but did not become heir due to some incompetence. Like in Mahabharata, there was always a stress in the relationships of Kauravas and Pandavas as to who is the right heir, because Pandu instead of being younger son became the king since he was a healthy child. Dhritrashtra being blind had to forfeit his claim to his throne because of his blindness.

All these grudges between the two branches ultimately led to the war of Mahabharata since the sons of Pandu and Dhritrashtra always had a question who actually is the right person and actually owns the throne.

Today looks like the old question of Purohits is coming back where Dev is today RajPurohit (like pandavas) but somewhere in the past someone else might had to forfeit his rights. Shantanu might be either related or a reincarnation and is now claiming for those rights again.

Thats why Radhika was saying that on one hand is Purohit family's reputation and on the other hand is Dev's RajPurohit gaddi (throne).

wow nice explain, well it could be truth but CB is show. it's not real. I dont think creative will use reincarnation story. anyway great analysis.

I feel it has to do something with Devs horoscope and something written in it as Rad was very upset and wanted to see her babuji to take advice regarding her next step.

Those are just on screen characters, if someone predict my future instead whichever shastra they believe in then it would be even more nice.

I agree with pj52. It has to do with family reputation. if she agrees to shantanu family reputation is destroyes, if not then Dev looses RP position.

PJ, what an nice explanation of the Bhrighu Sastra! I regret I did not see your post until today and I see that many have already given excellent replies. I just want to add that your theory about Shantanu being a reincarnation of a Purohit elder is quite interesting. However, I don't think the CVs are quite so intelligent or creative for that matter! 😆 Babu2008 suggested in her post that maybe Shantanu is a legitimate Purohit son who was given away because at birth his horoscope showed some very negative and disturbing traits that would effect the Purohit legacy. In tv serial land either one of these ideas would gel very well, but again I question the CVs ability, based on their track record, to carry such a sophisticated story and present it in a proper manner.
