In real life I don't think I or anyone else will say that a person shouldn't or wouldn't find another person to love because the first love did not happen... 99% of people either find love again or make a compromise and still have a fairly good life... there is only a miniscule % of people who cannot think of another person in the place of the first one... but then such people also exist.. and they don't necessarily have to be the devdas types... For most people including me who say they want A to be single if not with R.... it is more of a sentimental thing.... it is only because the essence of that character was in the love between the two of them... for those of us who liked the characters irrespective of the various actresses who portrayed the R, A's love for R is such an integral part of his character ... I definitely don't want him to be devdas... I want him to be happy, find fulfilment in other ways... grow up in that sense.... but in the serial if A also falls for someone else... atl;east to me it would feel like AR was completely decimated!!! In real life I would have said R doesn't deserve A and A should have found a new girl... I would have prayed that he does also!! but in DMG .. I don't really want to see that.... I think you can be happy doing something worthwhile with your life.. not necessary that you have to find another girl.... and if we are talking about logical things... DMG has had lot of illogical tracks including the hypothermia and the way SR marriage happened.... Pls note that i am not saying R should not have moved on or that Shashank shudnt have wanted her to get married.... but the way that marriage happened.... I found it totally illogical... and the hypothermia track was another extremely illogical one... compared to all that if A remains single and happy I don't find it completely illogical.... But yeah CVs might make A also fall for some one because otherwise what will A do in the story!! But I for one would wish that they find some sensible and medical related tracks to show rather than show another love story for A... and while it might be completely insane to still hope... I think I will still hope with a tiny portion of my heart that R chooses A finally!!
