Well, I've searched everywhere and I have found out that Debojit has won. Am I disappointed? Yes. Am I surprised? No. I knew it would happen, as I said in my last post, but I still believe Vinit deserved it more. I'm sorry to those who don't like what I am saying, but I am pissed off right now. I didn't even get to watch it. I was in school learning bullsh!t (the show aired here at 7:30 am) and my recording of the show recorded everything BUT the decision. So I had to go and find it somewhere else. I'm surprised nobody has posted the results yet. The only place where they had the results was rediff.com...hmm

Its ammusing that "The American" has posted this information before anyone else. If you have, I'm sorry, but I must have skipped over your post.

And don't you think you're being a little hard on Vinit? He's only 17 (as am I) and I rather admire him for withstanding all that pressure. I have been involved in a competition before (not for singing, but for dancing; and nowhere near the Saregamapa multitude) and it is nerveracking. To do something in front of many people (and to be expected to be perfect) is no easy feat. I was only in front of a few hundred and I almost wet my pants. Calling Vinit a fake and a mimic, in my opinion, is harsh. He's only been here for 17 years and probably hasn't completely found his own style. When I was in my competition, the judges complained that I was "copying" the styles of professional hip-hop dancers and not making a style for myself. I stood there and smiled, but I can tell you one thing, I wanted to cry. To work on something your whole life and to be accused of mimicking is too harsh. These were only six judges that told me this and only over a course of four weeks. Vinit is involved in a show where millions are accusing him of mimickry, and even though he does have a big fan base, every last harsh comment must tear away at him. But, then again, maybe I'm wrong. I'm just trying to incorporate my own experiences into this.

Oh, by the way, as I've stated before, I could only find one place (rediff.com) that said the results. Nowhere else did I find a statement saying that Debojit won. So, if I was mistaken, I apologize sincerely.
