In Singapore there is a similar problem so the Govt. has built several multi-story carparks in residential areas to meet the needs, plus huge multi-level underground carparks in shopping centres esp new city extentions.
Oh parking in town areas also cost a bomb apart from having to pay auto road tolls when going through the gantries. Ah a thousand ways to make us poorer and discourage driving, fortunately the public transports and trains are pretty well developed here. some only drive on weekends and off peak hours as it is far cheaper.Originally posted by: angie.4u
multi level car parks are being constructed in most of the new malls and some residential areas but its simply not able to keep pace with the everincreasing number of cars.
