Sushaan to dance on Zoobi Doobi in SGP.new article

Ragini Khanna happy with show's success TV actress Ragini Khanna aka Suhana Kashyap of STAR Plus Sasural Genda Phool is happy that audiences have accepted her in the new role. Audiences have given the show a ratings boost after the new role and that has pleased her in particular. We spoke to Ragini Khanna aka Suhana who says: "I am happy that in the short span of time, the show is getting ever more popular among the audiences. The reason behind the success is the simplicity of the show. We have no over-the-top drama and no loud make-up. I believe that good acting and a good story always does the job." About the show, she says: "It's the journey of a girl who is often right and often wrong. This is why the character of Suhana connects with the common man, and the reason audiences have accepted me and my character very well." Now what's next on the show? "Something very interesting, actually," she says, "there will be a dream dance sequence of Ishaan-Suhana and they will be dancing to Zoobi Zoobi.. .from 3 Idiots!" Suhana says she's happy to get her break in Bollywood. "I will be completing my first film which is produced by Raakyesh Om Prakash Mehra and is called Mad, Madder, Maddest, with Shreyas Talpade." It IS random with a capital R. But I've learned to keep an open mind. 😃

Jai is a trained Salsa dancer and I don't know Ragini's dancing skills, but if it is a dream sequence, then it'll be fun to watch Jai and Ragini giving thumkas Bollywood ishtyle! 😆

^ Sanu - You are bang on ... so far the makers have done their level best at keeping the storyline pretty natural :-)

Actually even I feel this song sequence is not needed for the storyline...Actually even the original show OBS has such dream sequences but there u dont have such hindi peppy numbers..its just plain ,simple and soothing Rabindranath Tagore songs which make the scene look natural and subtle..and there is an instant connect with the sequence...So I hope the makers do the same thing with SGP too and match up to OBS standards here😉And acc to my POV they could have chosen better songs na...especially A.R Rehman ones...If they want to keep the show Hrishikesh Mukherjee types,they should choose songs which are apt for Sushaan and they should always see whether the scene looks real or fake.........Personally during the sangeet scenes..only the nagin dance was appropriate...but pyar hua ikraar hua,sapno mein milti hai,etc...just didnt match with the storyline...and that too with the glitter ,disco lights and stuff like that...

That seems interesting to watch.....i love that song....but im feeling it might be a "comedic" dream sequence possibly,...from the choice of song. Lets see how it goes :D

I know it wud be bad to comment before seeing the sequence but still dont want Sushaan dance to such numbers...in dream or reality😆

Shounak - I can totally understand where you are coming from yaar... even I've seen bits and pieces of OBS to know the difference. Everything is OBS is understated, be it situations, expressions or emotions. The simplicity gives it a very real-life feel. But in a Hindi serial you have to cater to a much wider audience. So even though the underlying plot is same, the presentation has to change to meet the audiences' approval. I am not saying that Zoobi Doobi is an appropriate song, but like I said, I've learned to keep an open mind.

Guess I have to keep an open mind too....Have to wait for the scene and then give out my points.........but I want them to dance in SPA rather than in the serials..And ya LadyM...I agree...hindi shows need such small tadkas to capture the viewers attention.(No offence intended...Only my personal comment)
