Inspite of all the wonderful advances medical science still has a long way to go. every form of treatment seems to be accompanied by a severe adverse effect. take the eg of pts of Leukaemia. The trtm appears to be worse than the disease . Moreover its the symptoms that often get targetted without having a clue to the root cause. It time to investigate indigenous system of medicine available to us. we might come up with some sort of fusion. A holistic approach to treatment wud B so welcome.

Thats like a good kid debu 😃 The trend for voluntary blood donation is catching up in India too . Once u attain the age of 18 UR eligible to donate blood and blood components like platelet and stem cells too. In ones lifetime one can only donate a part of liver or bone marrow & a whole kidney as pointed out by Dipa . Rest of the organs like cornea, heart, valves, bones, are donated after death so age does not matter . Many of them need to be taken out within short time after death eg cornea, so its imp for the grieving family members to contact the proper hospital asap .I ve pledged my organs too. Hope they remain in perfect condition to be of use to someone after I m gone. Because of certain myths & religious taboos there are very few regd donors . The emotional aspect of grieving relatives also hampers organ donation. The demand far outstrips supply. The body parts are anyway of no use after ones death so one might as well put it to some good use .It means the life to someone in need !
