OMG how many conflicting emotions can they show in this serial at once?

Suhana's and KK's conversation: Suhana telling her Dad that he's always given her the best and why was her marriage an exception? KK trying to reassure her that he's not done anything wrong and that Ishaan is indeed a nice guy. Suhana crying infront of her Dad and telling him that she'll stay with Ishaan, the guy he's chosen for her, but will never be happy with him. KK's heart broken state.

Ishaan and Sanjana: Both wondering what is going on in the room. Sanju becoming increasingly uncomfortable. When KK comes out crying, Sanju goes to console him, but he waves her away. Sanju comes back defeated, refuses to go into Suhana's room, but hangs out with Ishaan instead. Ishaan trying to analyze the situation and fill in the awkward silence with his kind words. Sanju and Ishaan's great camaraderie.

Suhana coming out of her room and smiling at a confused Ishaan and Sanju as if nothing has happened.

Elesh and Disha's conversation regarding his joblessness.

Alok, Badi Maa and Radha Bua's conversation regarding an AC in Ishaan's room.

I just loved the subtlety of emotions they manage to show without the weird camera angles, dhan tan na type music and "kutte kaminey, mein tera khoon pe jaaoonga" type dialogues.

In today's episode, I could empathize with each and every character, including Suhana. Her dialogues were so real and hard hitting, that she didn't sound like a recalcitrant child for once. Instead she sounded like a little girl asking for justice. KK's dilemma on whether he did the right thing by getting his daughter married off to a middle class household. Sanju caught in between her sister, dad, and jeeju. Ishaan - completely aware of the situation at hand, and yet trying to behave as politically correct as he can. Badi Maa not buying into the AC argument. Radha Bua convincing her that it will ultimately contribute to Ishaan's happiness and finally Badi Maa giving in. Such a straight forward way to capture the minor nuances!

Everyone is a victim of circumstance, there are no scheming vamps or kitchen politics marring the beauty of this simple, yet heart rendering serial. Is it a wonder that I am so TOTALLY hooked on?

great post...i actually had a problem doing the written update...din know how to write the emotions...and bring it through...anyways..
the suhaana and KK scene was the best i have seen between them until now...
both right on their sides..
suhaana still thinking tat her father has taken badla on her...😡😡
KK still trying to find whether he has done the write thing or not...😕😕
suhaana still cant believe that her father who has done everything for her...has taken such a boy as her partner...😲😲
KK very sad that his daughter doesnt even want to look at him...😭😭
and the others also...sanjana and ishaan trying their best to overlook the situation...
can say only one thing SGP is the most simple and fantastic show i have ever seen...👏👏👏

Exactly Shwetha. Neither KK nor Suhana are wrong, so it is difficult, if not impossible to pass judgment in this instance. KK is not materialistic. He thinks that he should give Suhana the only thing that missing in her life - a real family. He cannot replace her mother, but he as a father he can give her a loving sasural that will give her the maternal love that she's missing from her life. So he gets her married to Ishaan. But Suhana sees it differently. She thinks that she's accustomed a different lifestyle. Her father was the one to provide for her, and cater to her demands. So then why did he now give her less than the best? She thinks if he knew what she wanted and he knew what she was used to, why did he get her married to an ordinary guy living a middle class life? And she's not wrong - busy parents often indulge their children and give in to their demands, and later blame them for getting it easy.

Edit: Mahesh Thakur's portrayal of KK is bang on! He plays a kind and doting father who loves his daughters to the hilt.

@ bold : so true. I am absolutely done with serials that shows vampy women, docile men and stupid/brainless or too selfless with little self respect main characters. I love Ishaan's balanced approach, especially his words to Suhana on Suhaag Raat(or not) that her actions affect his life as well. He is not a push-over, he is a loving guy who wants to do the right thing yet not disrupt his family.

Thanks Shounak! 😃

It was one THE most poignant scenes. And the performances by both - Ragini and Mahesh were outstanding ... I don't know who outdid who today! I think both were at par with each other.
