I've got to admit, though the judge's are extremely harsh sometimes, it's entertaining. Sometimes I feel, however, that they jump to conclusions a bit too fast. Yes, some people aren't as talented in singing while others are... but telling them that they have absoloutly no singing talent and that they should forget their dreams is just wrong, in my opinion.

i don't think its being rude. i think its more of constructive criticism which even the best of the best singers need in order to improve themselves! those that take constructive criticism in a positive manner, are those that will succeed in the future!

Judges should be critical, observant, funny, humorous, 'jokey' (in hadippa style of course), but they should keep their rudeness to a certain degree. I think this season they have a good balance on the show ... Anu is rude as usual and Sunidhi and Salim are very respectful. They have fun, but not to the point where they hurt someone's feelings. I like that and I respect that.

Obviously some people are completely cra-cra and definitely need to be reminded that they cannot sing, and if we start classifying 'go-home-you-can't-sing' as being 'rude' well, then, to some extent judges have to be rude!

Today's kids especially below 15 yrs are a different sort than those in the 18-25 age group and older age group...the latter being more balanced
a. The kids of the mid and late 90's are extremely precocious - They think TV, Internet is their life. They can't see beyond the visual life. that's why this generation does not read books like their counterparts did a decade ago. Not even Tintin, Tinkle comics, but Enid Blyton books, imagination, creativity, outdoor games...all on d way out.
b. These kids are lacking in General Knowledge - India is fast becoming like the U.S, just ask the 10-15 yr olds today any question as simple as - 'How many oceans are there in d world?' - 90% won't b able to answer.
c. Thye are celebrity- crazy - They idolize Hannah Montana, Twilight and such bizarre stuff. Last generation at least had Harry potter which was intelligent enough. Nowadays the trend towards pop-music taht too of a crappy kind is being idolized by kids. This pop music is far worse than even Backstreet Boys n Britney Spears of a generation back. There is much dumbing down in name of music.
Overall the music relaity shows will only get bigger is my prediction. The kids are competition- crazy. i saw last year in little champs 2009 the way the kids were bitching about each other and the unhealthy attitude to competiton ( except Abhigyan of course). On the other hand, see the contestnats of shows like Challenge 2007 where Aneek, Raja, sumedha etc are such good friends.

Woaa oh ho ho..!! 😲
Not ALL the kids are precocious and everything else you wrote!! 😲
Talking 'bout books.. there are kids who read a LOTT of stuff on sciences and many novels!! And same applies to GK!!
There ARE kids who are celeb-psyched and all.. but not all are like that! Well atleast, I'm not like that! And talking 'bout Miley/Hannah.. some of 'em dislike her for her "meta-morphosis"... 🥱 And coming to Twilight, there are kids who hate magical fantasy stories - atleast I do.. 😕 (No offence to people who like 'em both..)
Pop-music.. there ARE good ones coming up too! 😕
If you think the kids are GETTING frivolious.. let me tell you that there were silly kids all the time no matter which generation, century or decade it was.. 😆😆😆 Just that more kids are opening up!!! 😳 (comparatively) .. But do not say such things about "todays 15 year-old kids" .. it's an offence for those who really are not the way you portrayed 'em to be..

I think that the judges can be too harsh sometimes too, these ppl come in with there expectations really high thinking that they can sing, there is a way of talking to someone and falling asleep at the table while they are singing is not it.

I wonder what there reactions would have been, if it was them having a adution and someone was doing that too them??

The fact is, someone has probably done all this and much more to them. But the worst part in that case was that they were talented.

The thing is,
On one hand, on these reality shows, be it SRGMP or DID, should be taken seriously by contestants. They are not to be tried out just for fun. These shows showcase talents of India. True, there always will be people who just loooooove attention. But all in all, these shows are NO JOKE.

I think constructive criticism is okay...I mean everyone is NOT good....and if people suck...they should be told so
Remember this Reel world..so for drama, judges are not that diplomatic..cus lets face it..the show would be booring
the only thing i cannot stand is Anu Malik...he is just mental ....over does things...over dramatizes.....he is NO Simon Cowell

I think judges should be strict but not RUDE sometime they insult too much to the singer they should say politely that they cant sing instead of doing dramas because they r like teachers and teacher should not insult their students even if they r weak in their study they can send them back without insulting them
