Umm thanks!😳About the question...lets see...😆Voldemort according to me isnt what you asked..'the true personification of evil'...coz well, as far as I have understood him, he had a hopeless uncared for childhood, and valued his life more than anything else.So the very aspect of some one, whom he had never heard of, Harry was going to possibly cause his death was too much to take for him!I agree he was evil..had a dirty mind, and loadss of negative thoughts, but he wasnt the true personification of evil..instead, his actions are top some extent, atleast I think okay...sensible, as far as he wanted to hunt Harry down and kill him...But what he encountered made him more scared...and I think his fear made him more violent and evil!
