Armaan
Armaan has been in a situation with Dr. Shashank before where he has asked Armaan to unite his daughter with her husband.
On that occasion, Armaan had agreed, confident that it was what Riddhima wanted. Before having a mature conversation with Shanky, Armaan could only remember Riddhima from when he had last spoken to her. Coincidentally, she was devastated because Sid had sent her divorce papers. She had tearfully looked at Armaan, almost blaming him, and run off with her sorrow and grief. Consequently, Armaan's intention of leaving had become stronger because he didn't want to be the reason for the impending divorce. He did not want Riddhima to become a divorcee when she was the one girl who he knew to have such traditions that valued the importance of marriage.
As a result, he had heeded Dr. Shashank's words and gone to persuade Sid to forget the divorce and confess his love for Riddhima. Jab seedi oongli se ghee na nikle to oongli tedi karni parti hai...and thats what happened. Some punches and provocative comments later and the hunkies land in the BB court with Sid's declaration. For Armaan-mission accomplished.
The signature changed everything. Sid's words play again and again in Armaan's mind. (O fo! , I'm actually losing the number of times Sid has inaccurately assumed Riddhima's "wants" and "needs"). "She signed the papers, because she still loves you Armaan". Armaan has learnt from his numerous confessions that he should not act impulsively and leave everything up to destiny, in today's episode he told himself that he cannot pursue Riddhima because she is still married.
But it doesn't take alot for others to influence your mind. After Sid's presumption, Armaan knows that the papers have been signed. The reason: because she doesn't want to be with Sid. Then we get Nana's words of advice, "think from your heart". So: She doesn't want to be with Sid and my heart tells me, its because she wants to be with me. Then a phone call from Dr. Shashank, "I want to speak to you, it is regarding Riddhima and you're the perfect person to discuss the matter because no one knows her better than you". Ultimately: Riddhima loves me, Dr. Shashank knows this, he wants to discuss our marriage.
The precap shows us that Armaan has presumed the opposite, Dr. Shashank wants Armaan to act as the bridge between Sid and Riddhima and now persuade Riddhima not to separate from Siddhant.
My predicition: a change in Armaan's attitude.
Before, he spoke to Sid because he thought it was what Riddhima wanted.
Riddhima signed the papers.
Armaan thinks that Riddhima does not want to be with Sid so will refuse to be "cupid".
Armaan prioritises Riddhima's happiness over everything, and if Riddhima doesn't want to be with Sid then that means he will not do anything to compromise her happiness.
This was also shown in the precap where he questioned Dr. Shashank.
Siddhant
Sid, angry and hurt that Riddhima signed the papers but with that "ego" he refuses to let Riddhima know of his torment. All he can do is hold her tightly in silent frustration so that she can feel the burn that fills his chest, preventing him from shouting at her, the heat evident in his wide eyes as he just stares at her when she makes cold remarks about their divorce as if taking it as a joke.
With a lifeline from Dr. Shashank, you could see the relief that seeped through Sid's face when he found out that their was still a chance to save his broken marriage, to redeem his status as Riddhima's husband, to exercise his right to shower her with his love.
But he still wasn't sure, there was still that doubt in his mind, "main apna faisla nahi badloongi", Riddhima had still wanted the divorce even when he had given her the chance not to sign the rest of the pages, she had been adamant. Divorce was not a minor issue and you needed to spend alot of time deliberating before making a decision. Was Riddhima really so sure about her separation from him, to break their relationship that she didn't even hesitate once when snatching the papers and asking him for a pen?
Again outside influence works miracles. "Don't be generous Sid, this is not the time, take what is rightfully yours". Sid is seen contemplating his friend cum colleague's advice.
Predicition: A war of wooing between the two. Armaan confident that Riddhima wants him because her "happiness lies with him" and with Nana's support he wants to trigger that part of her heart again which beats for him.
Sid now knowing how much the word "divorce" actually cuts into him, wants to think about his own happiness now that JP assures him of the same. Confident that he just needs to illustrate to Riddhima how much he really does care for her, he will finally be able to win her over.
But Riddhima: still fuming that Sid cares about Armaan more than her, that he can treat Armaan as a confidant rather than his own wife, that he is so willing to break his relationship with her, she will stick to her guns.
Imagine: Sid trying to woo Riddhima. I can see Riddhima turning around surprised at Sid. Why are you faking that you care Siddhant. There's no point trying to make this work because you feel you owe my dad favours. At the end of the day, my father will not be living with us, we will be living together. Similarly, the decision to save this marriage should have been decided by you and not him. Instead, you gave me a divorce. We might be sticking together for my dad's sake, but once these seven months are up, I guarantee, nothing will have changed between us.
Basically, she will be in denial and wil refuse to come out of it easily. Sid's task is tough. On a practical note it makes sense for Riddhima to act in an awkward and agressive manner because the CV's will want to stretch the storyline somehow.
Armaan's task is also not easy. He is at a disadvantage because he knows Riddhima's marriage prevents him from initiating his own lovestory with her. But the fact that he is under the impression she still loves him deep down, will her refusal deter him?
This is my predicition: Please do comment, please do not bash, the content is not meant to provoke or upset anyone. I have mentioned both couples and will always speak about both in what, I believe to be, realistic yet favourable.
Thank yeee, love luck and blessings to all! 👍🏼
