Dreams & Opportunities

Hello everyone!
I haven't visited the forum for long. I see there are lots of discussions going on about Gunjan - Acting track. Most of them got closed, so thought of opening a new one with another point of view about this track.

This is my personal view. Or even not. Its a rather new view about the track. But I don't know yet if it can be called as my personal view or not. That will hopefully be proven later in the show.

Few Assumptions

- It is not about talent
- Gunjan is not talented in acting
- Forget for a few minutes that this entire track is for SaJans relationship


Dreams vs. Opportunities


There are two female characters which were affected by this entire track - Gunjan & Nupur.

Both characters are very different from each other. I won't be elaborating much, but I'll try to summarize the basic characteristics of them.

Basic Character Sketch

a) Gunjan

She's a shy, studious and rather scared girl - yet her inner Ego (i.e. Chashmish) is very much confident. She was rather scared of crowd, never ever wanted to be the focal point. She hates to be in the spotlight. She doesn't know how to deal with crowd, with attention, with people. Her dream is definitely not to become an actress.

b) Nupur

Nupur is a rather talkative, bubbly person. She loves being in the limelight and she knows how to deal with it. She loves to get all the attention from others and loves the attention she gets from others. Her dream has been always to become an actress. No wonder she talks half the time about movies, actors - the film industry in general. During these months, it became very clear to me that she would sacrifice practically everything (generalising here ofcourse..) if she gets this ONE CHANCE in her life. She knew, we all know, it is not a dream, a wish which would be easily fulfilled. No way! Becoming an actress is something everyone would just dream of. Most of those people know that it's highly doubtful to persuade their dream of becoming an actor. But still, this "ziddy ness" of Nupur continues. It is normal - She's very filmy - Thus, it is totally understandable if she waits and waits and waits forever for this one chance.

Then, there was this audition. - an opportunity, at that time probably the ONLY path to perhaps finally fulfill her one and only dream.
But - She became sick. She wasn't in a condition to give an audition. It was very heartbreaking for her. She HAD only one dream - to become an actress (or something related to that..).
There are two reasons which are sort of interconnected with each other - why it was so heartbreaking.

Firstly, she never ever thought that she would actually find a path to fulfull her crazy dream. She herself knew that it was highly impossible that she would EVEN GET such a golden chance. But she still didnt give up and continued to dream about becoming an actress. She never lost faith and hope.

But after the audition happenend and she couldn't participate, she realised she LOST a chance, her ONE AND ONLY CHANCE. That is the second reason. How could she lose such an opportunity? WHY did she become sick? She never though she'd actually face such a situation where she even had the opportunity - a golden chance- perhaps even the only chance- of becoming an actress but it just fell out of her hand - because she was unwell !! What bad luck!!


A comparison - a weird one though..

A sick cat who's in the desert (dont ask me HOW it landed up there) - suddenly it sees food infront of her - she's extemly delighted and just when she's about to grab it - another cat comes and steals her meal.

It's actually highly unrealistic that the cat would survive. But there's a moment - some magic was definitely there - and it thought that she would actually survive - food was there for her.
But - only for a second or two.

Parallels :

a) the cat's need for food <--> Nupur's dream of becoming an actress
b) in a HIGHLY UNREALISTIC state - the cat actually gets food - so does, Nupur : Neil Oberoi comes and wants to do auditions in her college itself
c) their wishes don't get fulfilled

In my view, this track is exactly portraying that everyone has dreams. Then arrives a day where it looks as if your dreams might ACTUALLY be fulfilled, but there's always a high possibility that you might lose this chance, this opportunity.

Gunjan had to take this opportunity because she realised that even if that particular opportunity won't help her to fulfill her personal dreams, an opportunity which won't occur each day, what's wrong to give it a try? such rare opportunities should always be taken. It doesn't matter if she thought of it before or not. There are opportunities which you just won't get every day. This was one example.

Thus, perhaps they're showing that whenever you get an extraordinary chance, dont just leave it - just because it was never your dream. Grasp it! As a craZy (Edit: Forget the "z" Lolzzzzz) Latin admirer - I add: Carpe diem! or maybe: Carpe occasio!
You never know!
Even out of such opportunities - which may not fulfill your dreams - you will ALWAYS learn something new things besides the actual purpose of that opportunity. That means:
Gunjan might become a star and realise that she's very much talented in acting. But that is not the only thing she will learn from this golden chance.
But she will also overcome her fear of crowd and many more other things, too.

Im sorry if I hurt you in any way with my thoughts !! That was not my intention at all !!

I'm not sure if I have understood Nupur correctly - But that wasn't my aim in any way - What I wanted to tell is that - dreams and opportunities seem to be so close - yet miles away from each other at times... Carpe Diem !!

PS: one more thing I want to add : I've read many analysis about this particular thing !! and there are some which seem to be the correct one!! And I thought of posting a new one - even if it doesnt seem realistic or not the one interpretation CVs wanted to show- theres hopefully no problem in posting it..!! =)

True ... we all have dreams, big or small ... but life is unpredictable and has a way of throwing googlies so all our dreams may not come true, or they come true in a way we never imagine they will. So you should take every opportunity that life throws in your way ... sometimes your dreams lead you to creating your own opportunities and sometimes opportunities lead you realising your dreams ... or finding new ones.

WOW anu..beautiful topic !!! I'd like to first copy paste what I had written in tht other topic of gunjan's that got closed .. and yes, here I disagree wit u..I believ gunjan IS talented .. only she doesnt realise it ..

so this is the reply tht I wrote in tht gunjan acting topic -

when u look superficially - yes, I agree..acting was NEVER her dream .. and infact, when I'd first thought that this was happening I questioned myself soo many times..how CAN she do this ?? she jus CANNOT .. also, being a LOT like gunjan myself..even I immediately got repulsed of the idea of acting ..

but then..I got thinking..do we ALWAYS and EVERYTIME kno what v want from life? v dont..v live life..and v face situations..and v realise something that v never even thought of in our life .. ther are very few ppl in their life who are born wit what they want from life..who are born wit knowing what they want from life .. gunjan isnt one of them..because of her inherent shyness .. and her under confidece in herself..she has created a shield around herself and that shield prevents her from retrospecting her inner talents ..

and I m not saying that this shield only covers gunjan..somewhere this shield covers all of us..but very few hav the power to remove that shield and introspect into what our true talents are and whether v really want to pursue them then .. some ppl can remove that shield on their own .. but ther are some, like gunjan, who need an external agent or catalyst to help them remove that shield around them and make them SEE what they have .. whether or not they wil decide to pursure them, is another thing altogether ..

sam and neil are those catalysts in gunjan's life..who are jus making her SEE what she has..whether or not, she wants to pursue that in her life is something thats her decision altogether .. as sam said "agar woh na kahein..to yeh uski choice hain.." sam is NOT telling her to follow her dream which is acting..he is telling her to do THAT thing which always brings a smile on her face .. IF acting is that thing that brings a smile on her face why shudnt she do it? and if its not something that wil bring a smile on her face..she wud not do it - its as simple as that! but how wil she KNOW it..unless she gives it a try?

singing..was NOT her dream too.. it was jus her talent..I wont really say that she loves singing too .. singing is something she does when her heart is fillwed wit emotions and those emotions need an overflow..thats whe she lets out her emotions into music and sings her heart out - literally .. sam listened to her song by chance and thought that this was one talent that the whole world shud know .. because she is such a BEAUTIFUL singer .. but she doesnt feel the need to showcase that talent to the world and added to it is the fact that she was afraid of limelight and crowd..so that prevented her from trying .. and sam was again the catalyst that helped her uncover that shield and brought out the talent to the world ..

but singing was different than this acting situation - because there .. atleast she herself KNEW that talent of hers even tho she never percieved that as a 'talent' .. here, she doesnt KNOW that acting is one of her talents .. and sam and neil are jus making her SEE that talent of hers .. whether or not she will follow it later on is her choice altogether ..

this was all abt talents..I dont think this is abt dreams at all .. because as far as I kno acting/singing on stage in NEVER gunjan's dream .. her only dream is to lead a simple life .. and she IS already living that dream of hers via sam and his love and wil continue to do so .. when u dream something strongly, and dont find the path towards it ..u get so shattered, like it happened wit nupur when her dream of acting got shattered or it happened wit gunjan when her dream of marrying samrat for shattered on v-day ..

but eventually, u do find sum way to pursue ur dreams .. and I strongly BELIEVE that .. if ur dream is destined to become true then u will get it fulfilled no matter whatever obstacles ther are in ur life ..

if nupur's dream is genuinely to become an actress she WILL become an actress and gunjan outshining her in this one movie wil not matter at all ..

however, this track is NOT abt dreams..its completely abt talents..and jus because gunjan has never given a thought to acting doesnt mean that she does not have that talent within her .. who wud hav thought that she wud become an RJ? the shy chashmish who wud think twice before talking to the person in front of her is interacting wit millions of ppl on the radio .. but she did it .. because she has the talent to understand ppl, to emphasize wit them and a knack to get them engrossed in her talks, ONCE she gets talking..but to get her talking is a task and the RJ hunt was a beautiful field because ther nobody cud see her shyness..they cud only hear her voice and that gave her the confidence .. and eventually she is now learning to open up to ppl too .. she compared an entire play..so she IS a performer..only she is afraid to cum OUT into the open..and this track is jus giving her an opportunity to do that ..

whether or not she wil continue it is her choice altogether!

and I want to add sooo much more to it .. but cant, right now .. will add sumthing tomo mayb .. but AWESOME topic .. 🤗

I dunno..i really REALL REALLY believe...that all of us have our destinies..and all all our stories r written by God's hand...☺️..even the dreams he makes us see is nothing but HIS manifestation..his beautiful plans for our life for us....its all all HIS doing..and i believe this situation too was specially SPECIALLY created by himmmmm...he is a big big conspirator he is constantly conspiring with all alll our universes and is pushing us towards our dreams our destiny..and mos of the time we don''t even REALIZE it...which is so not happening all of us tend to take Bhaggu soooooooo for granted....but I know whatever he does he does it for looooooove...and i really really fele it was HIS doing..just imagine..it all started from Mayank and Sam's prnak on Nupur..i mean why out of all the damned pranks they had to come up wid just THIS ONE PRANK..?..THIS ONE DIRECTOR'S NAME?....that was bhaggu's first sign..and then he made this prank a reality REALITY...Gunjan became his messenge of this reality...but the one person to whom this mattered the MOST MOST refused to accept it...this in itself was so so unsual..imagine people actually THINKING gunjan could prank them..it was so so UNUSUAL,,,,Nupur missed seeing another sign there....but Gunjan tried to fight it for her....and even managed to snathc ONE CHANCE for her..but the VERY next day nupur fell ill....why..why did it had to happen just THE VERY NEXT DAY?...there was some force who didn't want her to do that...there was some power behind all this....and INSTEAD that same power made Gunjan do this..why?...even i dunno the answer why but i feel before realizing their dreams He wants them to know the power of dreams..and above all the POWER of LOVE..he wants them to discover...that life without dreams is a wasted life..and dreams WITHOUT love is nothing but distant dream...u need U NEED the power of love to realize those dreams....to overcome any and eveyr obstacle that comes in its path..to hope against hope...its ONLY love that can make u do that that can make u laugh and hang on to hope even in the darkest hour of night...that can make u believe firmly firmly believe ki the beautiful sunshine filed morning of your dream is awaiting u..u just need to wlak a lil more...

don't u see...by doing this.he kind of has placed dreams and love in a kind of battle field....on the one hand Gunjan is making full use of this golden opportunity...and she is finding new vistas to her life..on the other hand..basically she is realizing the only thing that makes dreams IMPOSSIBLE is FEAR...Sam...who always believes in dreams in making the utmost of each moment...who was the first one to support Gunjan to make her SEE and FEEL that she can do it..that same Sam is developing fears and insecurities that his Chashmish is gng far far away in her persuit of dreams thats he is flying to new skies and perhaps he might not be visible to her from here.....and he NEEDS to realize ki in th process of follwoing her dreams she is not being distanced from love form him..she is instead living alllll of it in her dream..feeling its powers in her each new success....he needs to realize love isn't about holding on its about letting go..its about freedom..its about letitng the other perosn fly to wherever her dreams take her...i know he already knows that but je just KNOWS that now he wld be LIVING this

on the other hand Nupuuuuur who always wanted to do something GREAT form her life who always always believed in herself and her dreams and her capabilities of fullfilling eahc one of thooose...she got an opportunity but missed it by jus minute seconds...it was all almost there..within her hands reach..but it slipped out..and now she has to search a new aim a ne purpose a new DREAM....coz bleive it or not LIFE WITHOUT DREAM S TO FOLLOW WITHOUT WISES TO FULFILL TO PRAY FOR IS NOTHING BUT A WASTE....so yeah he is making Nupur learn ki so what one dream couldn't be realized..she should have the courage to dream again to live once again..and somewhere in her heart of hearts she should go on hoping and hoping for this unfulfilled dream of hers..if it is written in her name SHE WILL GET IT...he is just trying to make her hope again...to tell her that she has to hang on to faith even in the grimest of situations..and she has to keep looking and looking...she never knows when where she stumbles upon a brand new dreaaam whcih once again gives her life a real MEANING..and Sam already showed her ONE PATH...the path that wld lead her to a beautiful home whose falls would not be made of cement but wid love and laughter..a home where she wld be living her dream wid Mayank and her children...filling her hcildren wid love wid hope wid d power of dreamingg....and Mayank...geee....he is blaming love for making him loose his goals his life ka aim his focus..he is blaming it all on love and is on a spree to if not distance then to at least shun him out again and just like a machine fir se focus on his goals goals golas..and u know why bhaggu made Mayank feel this?...coooooooooooz he wants them all to discover that DREAMS WITHOUT LOVE ARE SHALLOW..U NEED LOVE TO MAKE MIRACLES OF BRINGING YOUR DREAMS COME REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL....he thinks by being serious and stern and just constantlystudying studying and studying and thinking logically he wld be bale to fullfill his dreams....and it is htis htought of his which bhaggu has challenged here..he wants to tell him that u don't need to live in a secluded world to follow your dreams u don't need to THINK and THINK u need to FEEL..dreams aren't about following your BRAIN and its many logical commands..dreams is about FOLLOWING YOUR HEART..and being dillogicallllllll.....its not just about getitng there..its aboutt he journey u take to reach to your dreams..and u need to live every single moment of this journey and fill it with the miracle of loveeee....

but ya basically bhaggu is doing this only and only to make them realize ki dreams and love aren;t controry to each other...instead they go hand in haaaaaaand.

dreams are important VERY IMPORTANT they give justification to your existance to your individuality..till now somewhere in their love stories all of them had forgotten about their INDIVIDUAL SELF...and thats not happening coz love is not just about love and growing as a couple love is also about GROWING AS AN INDIVIDUAL ABOUT MAKING A DISTINCT PLACE FOR YOURSELF.....ur dreams wld be incomplete if your loved ones don't feel it don't live it with u don't believe in it..if they don't move step by step like footprints wid u and your dreamsssss....☺️

in Ashi Yuvi's world its said.."love brings you closer to your dreams and to yourself"..i believe bhaggu is just making them all FEEL these exact words...☺️

and i forgott o add one more thing about Gunjan..bhaggu is giving her her first ever taste of something called a HUGE HUGE sucess..something which EVERYONE'S DREAMS..but he is making her LIVE IT..and that too without much of a struggle...OBVIOUSLY this isn't her DESTINY..her destiny was a simple life just full of one thing LOVE...but now he is giving her a taste of success..and with that success comes ambition..pride....he is giving our perfect Gunjan the taste of all these STRONG POTENT feelings which have the power to CORRUPT the innocentest of all people...and somewhere in this new path..she wld loose sight of her REAL dream...of the dream that defines her..thats her SOUL...at least thats whati felt in yesterday's precap...that somewhere she WOULD looe sight and thats NOTHING wrong..we all all do that....but she NEEDS to follow this path to taste all these feleings..and to fight against their potent force which would want to corrupt her simplicity which would want to pull her in different directions...but she has to stay there and FIGHT all of this..she has to stya in the middle of glamour and blah and THEN memerge as innocent as simple as beautiful form within she is NOW..its easy to be simple and all beautiful from within in a picture perfect life...an till now Gunjan was doing JUST that now its time for her to test her own character her own soul ka strength...it wld sort of make her rediscover her ONE DREAM..she WOULD loose sight of love..and somewhere at one point in time she wld just get tiered and break down and look back to where she was standing to where she wanted to be,,,,and then she wld CHOOSE that life that love over anything else..it wld be HER CHOICE THEN..its still her hcoice..but somewhere seh feles that this is THE ONLY thing she can dream and do best...she doesn't feels ki there can be any other dream for her any other option for her..which sort of makes this choice of love and a simple life a compulsion for her..coz heck she feels the other life IS NOT FOR HER coz she won;t be bale to take it....but now she has to realize that she wld be bale to take it alllllllllll...but she doesn't WANTS this..the only thing she wants is what she always wanted..LOVE...beautiful isn't it?...bhagguand his ways to make us all realize the power of love is just BEAUTIFUL...

Aaaaaaah i just hope the track is gng this ways only for all four of themmmm...and Anuuuuuu really really thankooo for the topic..i was myself dieing to wrte abt thissssss...not coz i love sajan and not coz am looooving just LOVING Mayur right now infact loving them even more than Sajan currently..but coz writing all this talking abt all this feeling all this brings me close to my ashi yuviiiiiiiiii all over again☺️ to my cohello ☺️ to me mysellllllllllllllllf☺️..so yeah thankoo for giving me an opportunity to spread bit of AYishness in the air☺️
