All the accused in the Jessica Lal murder case got acquitted. 😡 I was so shocked, don't know why as it was expected wasn't it.? 😭

Check out the full story https://www.ndtv.com/topstories/showtopstory.asp?slug=Jessica +Lal+case%3A+All+accused+acquitted&id=18813&category =National

Is it fair for the rich and powerful to get away with henious crimes as bad as this.? Can we do anything to prevent this from happening.?

Its not just shocking but its the corruption in our Society where rich and famous get away as they are able to but witnesses off or threaten them !!!!!! 😡
I still remember this case for those who don't know -
Jessica Lal was a model , on that one night she was at a private pary hosted by Bina Ramani the famous Delhi designer who has a lovely house in Mehrauli Road! . Apparently these rich guys came and were already sloshed , they asked Jessica (she was managing the bar) to pour them a drink and made a pass at her. She told them to *&%$^ off !! Some heated stuff happened and finally Jessica got shot in that bar !!!!

Now after 9 years these *&$%&* have got off !!! 😡

Thanks for the details Aparna.

I think we also need a law for perjury offenses so that witnesses don't turn hostile and change statements. Is that another reason why the course of actions takes so long cause the witnesses give different statements at different times.?

Well said "Rich and powerful get away with crimes "- Always................

It's the law made by them and they can break them too. We common people are onlookers. Money is power, it can buy anything in this world. Money can make its way. It's not that the reach and famous don't commit crimes. But can you think of anyone rich and famous serving his/her terms in jail or got a death sentence. That's the way it is and we are used to. They know that we would shout for sometime and slowly we would forget and get busy with our own world.

Even if we dream of a world where justice would be served equally to all, it is never ever possible in reality. After all it's earth and not heaven. But at least people who think for a positive tomorrow should continue keep up with the good work they are doing in order to balance with the other nasty-dark-corrupted section.

the rich and powerful almost always get away, i was actually surprised with the verdict of salman khan's case i was thinking that he too would be aquitted since he has the money, hence rich and famous
but i guess for the most part rich ppl do get away with most crimes
