What is with our faint hearted prime time television delicate darlings? Just a few days ago we had reported of Jamuniya lead girl down with jaundice, and now we hear, Supriya Kumari (Amoli of Bairi Piya) is running high fever and is completely stressed out. So much so, that she has been passing out on the sets.
Kumari admits overstress is the reason behind her sickness, "It happened last week, I had fever and severe headache. I could not visit my doctor and started ignoring my health. I would shiver and feel nauseated. I thought I will be fine after a few days, but it increased and I fainted while giving a shot. My unit immediately called for a doctor and he asked them to admit me in the hospital for complete rest and observation."
She spent two days in hospital. "They kept me under observation; it was only for some time in these two days I shot for my close shots. Luckily the production had a bank of some episodes so it did not affect the story much. Doctors have told me it is because of weakness and I should have regular meals and adequate rest. However I could not rest much because it is not possible at this moment. Though my production house is supporting me a lot they finish my sequences as early as they can, I take rest between two shots, so it is helping me to recuperate quickly. The script demands me in most of the sequences so I also cannot ask them for a long break. Therfore I often ended up shooting for 12 hours."
Her parents are in town after being informed about her health. "My mother started crying when she watched me; she has decided to stay here with me. She knows that I do not eat properly and I don't eat non- vegetarian food, I hate milk. Before I came to Mumbai she would force me to eat everything, but since I stay here alone I eat anything which is available on the sets. Now I feel that I too need her and staying with her is always better."
