All right, so this is a slightly different topic. We know that there were many talented singers in the show and they have all sung extremely well, but there were some performances which were sort of standouts- you know we would remeber them after a long time. They had something in them which made it very difficult to forget.
So I am giving my list of the standout (not musically best, maybe) but still memorable performances of SRGMP
1.) Hemu's 'Priyasiiiiiiiiiii......' ----- You will all agree with this one. That long tone, he did it so well. No wonder then that all the judges cried out and clapped (wonder how come he didn't get distracted) and he got a chance in Mukta arts. This was the only performance of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa that got an encore. Wonderful.
2.)Vinit's sore throat song - Before he started singing, the audience were shown an AV in which he was rehearsing and not able to sing properly cos he had a bad throat, but he still went to sing bcos Himesh said that he wanted to send him that day. And he took off the higher range so well that Ismail Darbar had to say, "Isse Kehte hain confidence, keh gala kharab hotey huey bhi usne bahuton se accha gaya hai." Perhaps the judges had not been shown that tape in which he was rehearsing, because of which Jatin- Lalit said that this was all falsehood and natak, and it was then that Himesh said that since they had suspected vinit, he would make Vinit the biggest star of the country.
(Now pl. anti-Vinit fans don't say that it was all lie and drama, you all must have seen the episode yourself. At least for this performance you must give credit to the poor boy.)
Ujjaini ne choo kar dekha hai----- The song from Black, oh God, when she sang it, I could feel the strength of her voice and the intensity, I really had goosebumps. All the mentors had praised her so much. And Jatin Lalit also said that she had prepared the song herself. I think this was the best performance in the girls department.
Joyitha nahi royee------ This one is not related with music. You must remeber that girl Joyitha who always got nervous and started crying. There was that performance round, but none of the contestants did any sort of performance, and Ismail Darbar said, "Sab log sirf ga hi rahein hain, performance kahan hai???" And this girl heard it and sang the song 'Aeeye Aa Jaeeye' from Lajja and danced in such a way that all the mentors and judges had tears of laughter and each of them said mindblowing. But perhaps they were so lost in laughing that they forgot that she had also sung well, and so she did not get the green card.
Well, according to me, these are the standout performances of SRGMP. Do contribute everyone.
