Julie Walters arrives in Dublin

Julie Walters, who plays Mrs. Weasley in the Harry Potter movies, arrived in Dublin today for the first screening of her new movie Driving Lessons, in which she stars alongside Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley). GCN.ie writes:

Walters' performance in the movie, easily her best since "Billy Elliot" in 2000, is a tour-de-force and provides a deep emotional heart to a film that will make you laugh, cry, and then laugh some more.

If you're interested in meeting Ms. Walters while she's in Dublin or seeing Driving Lessons, visit DublinIFF.com or call the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival box office at 01 672 8861.

Rupert attends the Bafta Awards

Rupert Grint was in attendance at the Bafta Awards earlier today, and thanks to RGMS, RG.net, and DR.com, we have several videos of his appearance:

During his red carpet interview, Rupert talked a bit about Order of the Phoenix, saying, "I'm in the middle of filming Harry Potter 5. It's going really well, actually. The second week is next week, so it's going well."

GOF wins Production Design Bafta

The BAFTAs (British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards) were held in London's Leicester Square earlier today, and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire walked away with an award for Best Production Design. It was also nominated for Best Special Effects and Best Make Up & Hair.

More info on JK's masquerade ball

The Sunday Mail today published additional information on JK Rowling's upcoming masquerade ball at Stirling Castle on March 17. A spokeswoman for Jo said, "It's a Venetian style ball. It's a dinner, dancing and an auction. We hope to match or raise even more than we did last time."

Jo "spent weeks" devising clues for a treasure hunt guests will partake in as well. She will be the guest of honor at the event.

All funds raised at the ball will go to MS Scotland, which funds multiple sclerosis research and actively works to bring higher standards of health and social care to those affected by MS. Jo hosted a similar charity ball in November 2002 that raised 287,000.

New GOF promo shots

Thanks to SS and ICM, we have fifteen new promotional shots from Goblet of Fire, showing a worried Snape, Tiana Benjamin as Angelina Johnson, Bonnie Wright as Ginny Weasley, Brendan Gleeson as Mad-Eye Moody, and Devon Murray as Seamus Finnigan.

Pics of GOF DVD main menu

Thanks to HarryLatino, we have seven pictures of the Goblet of Fire DVD main menu, scene selections screen, and language selection screen. Check 'em out at the galleries.
