I am guilty my lord Epi 4/19

Hi everyone

I am not sure how long I will continue my daily episode analysis because once Armaan leaves on sabbatical, or wherever he is going, my motivation will also nose dive.

After watching today's episode, I felt all the main characters are victims of a major guilt complex and remorse. There is a subtle difference between guilt and remorse. Guilt can often make people a little negative and pessimistic, to the point of depression, irritability, resentment and even blame others. Remorse on the other hand is a more positive emotion, a way to heal or make things better for the person whom you feel you have wronged.

ARMAAN:

Armaan, IMO, is showing major signs of remorse. He is upset that by coming back, he has ruined Ridz's happiness and at this point his remorse will make him do anything- even if that means confronting Sid with the DP. He has no business to interfere but it's his remorse and the desire to make Ridz happy once again that takes him to Sid.

SID:

Sid again feels guilty for coming between Armaan and Riddhima's love story. He is remorseful about the fact that it's their marriage that is keeping the two lovers apart from each other. He couldn't live with this guilt and wants to terminate this marriage to free himself from these chains of guilt.

RIDDHIMA:

Of course, our darling Ridz will never make it easy for anyone to interpret her true feelings.
After thinking hard about Ridz's conflicting and bizarre behavior, I feel that she has a major guilt complex gnawing at her...

Since Armaan has been back, lot of her anger and outbursts are a result of this guilt complex. Deep down, she probably feels that she failed Armaan (we saw glimpses of that when she cried in front of ganesh) and that's why instead of being remorseful, she is lashing out at Armaan. Does she realize that the more she lashes out at Armaan, the more guilty and unhappy she becomes?

Now, the divorce papers just reinforced this guilt complex in her- she feels she has failed in her marriage too. She sacrificed her love for this marriage and now this divorce comes as a slap on her face- you are not worthy of being my wife

For a girl like Ridz, rejection is equivalent to failure in her life. When Armaan left her, she was ready to kill herself, and now when Sid is on the brink of rejecting her, she is going crazy.

She realizes that she would never be in this situation had she taken control of her own decisions. Instead of blaming her own weakness, she is of course blaming daddy dear, Armaan and Sid! Can anyone else control your life unless you let them control it Ridz? She is guilty about not taking her own decisions but cannot accept her mistake yet again.

Her outburst on seeing Shashank, "kya aap Armaan ko wapas bhej sakte ho? Kya aap Sid se mera talaq rukwa sakte ho?" was a bit surprising especially because it came right after her wanting to be in control of her own life. My only interpretation of this could be a sarcasm at her dad. Shashank said, "sab kuch theek ho jaayega beta." but she knows sab kuch theek nahin hoga, her dad CANNOT fix everything in her life like he has tried to in the past.

Hope Riddhima sticks to her decision this time because time again she has proved that she never practices what she preaches.

SHASHANK:

The moment Shashank saw Armaan, he was stunned, shocked and maybe (my wishful thinking) a bit guilty. Guilty because he had predicted that Armaan would not recover from his mental illness and guilty because he is indirectly responsible for separating his daughter from Armaan- had he not acted all helpless in front of Sid, his daughter wouldn't have married Sid.

I was very pleased to see him hug Armaan- it was a genuine hug, a fatherly hug. He did the right thing, even though he was stunned, he embraced Armaan and even asked how he was doing- something his daughter to this day has failed to ask Armaan (as his ex lover, a doctor and just as a human being, she should have asked at least once)

So basically, the whole episode was a portrayal of how the different characters manifest their guilt and remorse...

Let's see what's in store

My prediction for coming parts: basically next 1-2 weeks

Shanky will join hands with Armaan to stop the divorce
Ridz will sign the papers because she wants to control her life now or out of anger (just like she married on an impulse)
Ridz will leave
Armaan will leave
Shanky will send Sid on a fetch-your-wife mission and try to make marriage work
When Sid finds Ridz, he will plead to her
She will agree to it and give her marriage another chance and give herself another chance to not feel like a failure in life

Phir aage.......Ram jaane ya CVs jaane....

Lovely post Di!! I agreed with every bit!

Riddhima is an independent woman (well she was SHOWN to be that at one point of time😵) ..I dont understand why she can't take her own decisions and confront her weaknesses..She cries everyday to herself, asking why God did this to her, but why can't she be confident..and take a step forward in life..i think its best she gets some time ALONE..fromm everything!

She shouldnt expect her father to mend the situation she cant' either..so I hope she really doesn't rely on her father -_- and instead do things her way!

As for Armaan, hes really trying to fix things..he has said before too..its his mistake he came back..if him leaving, or making Sid take back the divorce can make his basket feel better, then he would be willing to do that<3 and that fight -_- that takes place in the corridor, which I thnk is really lame, but its basically both the men on each others throats cause they think they are making the right decision according to them!

Yeah Anita....I think a lot of Ridz's irrational behavior stems from her underlying guilt and fear of rejection.

Knowing Ridz, even if she decides to stay with her husband, she will forever feel guilty about betraying armaan but rationalizing it by saying he left me!
The guys are doing the best they think they can do....they should just back off for a while and let Ridz do her thing

yes aaliya...even i want my prediction to to be false. I want armaan to stay and let Ridz be independent for a while...not married, just single and focus on her happiness and her work rather than whom should she be with

If ridz stays single and independent, then I am positive she will eventually gravitate towards Armaan but if she stays married, she will try to make things work with Sid. An independent Ridz would be the right way to know what her heart wants

according to the article she will be forced to go back
I dont know but i think maybe things btw her and sid wont be the same
As he tries to test her love each time
Sid will think she loves armaan and is forced
On the side armaan will be there and shall start the story

i dont know how long we can justify ridhimmas action.. shes just turning into "pity me" character... everytime crying everytime showing tht she is helpless.. when the fact is she can make decisions.. its her life.. learn to take control woman! its high time..!
everybody is clear minded as in what they want to do.. but because of her nobody can act upon it.. they dont really know what she wants.. shows sth else does sth else.. i think she is herself confused what she wants.. such a weak soul in though times.. i think ridhhimma should be the one who should leave and not the others.
the idea of "failure" has taken over her thinking power.. she failed her dad by confronting him for armaan once upon a time.. she still feels guilty for it.. she failed armaan and his love.. for reasons i am not able to comprehend.. and now her marriage.. so she basically wanting to hold on to sth to make it successfull.. aaahh idk
this i confusing.. i dont klnow if the CVs think so much abt it.. they just like to treat us like puppets!
i dont know if riddhimma being independent is gonna help either.. she just cannot think logically..
your predictions might be the way its heading di.. but i really want it to be AR.. can armaan have an accident?? LMAOO thn only we'll see her true colors :)

and the fight was just a way to drag the story i guess.. theyre making a great deal out of the fight..!

always a wonderful post di <3
