Nopes. The old Abhi wouldn't beat people up, he would use his smarts to outwit them, like he did to expose Bhalla's affairs and again to get the shop reopened. He may use some subtle threatening like with RB in the bar scene and bribing too, but not this filmy herogiri. And that too, peppered with filmy dialogues!

RB has so many weaknesses such as drinking habit, cowardice, overfondness for girls, that can easily be exploited by a smart Abhi to mount another Operation Dahi Bhalla. But of course, our Abhi has turned into Simi's pet poodle with only some bark but no bite left 😡. So I wouldn't rejoice that the Abhi of yore is back.

The old ABhi would do this:

He would coolly tell the KB gharwale to leave things to him, get together with Mili and come up with a smart plan to outsmart Bhalla and get the house papers back. Abhi of old would also remember his contacts in big companies and his uncle in the police and use these to first, get a job, and second, convince the police inspector. Then he would find RB's ex-bodyguard and use his services as well. Lastly he would borrow RS's scooter and use that rather than try to chase villians with an autorickshaw.
