Hi everyone
I usually don't write a separate post analyzing the day's episode, but couldn't help writing my interpretation of today's kind of complex episode.
Ya Rabba Sequence:
Actually, I kinda liked the song sequence as it was done tastefully and with a lot of thought given to it, almost like a music video.
ARMAAN: I loved the fact that Armaan continued to work in the hospital despite his personal problems. It's good to know that he is NOT Devdas types. Yes, he was reminded of Ridz at every juncture, but he did not sway away from his duty. He is not only a great human being but a great doctor too! I applaud his character once again. The ring of fire signifies the boundaries he has around him. He knows if he crosses the boundary, the fire will burn him to death. That shows that he is NOT going to cross any boundaries and even though it hurts him immensely, he will keep himself within this ring of fire. So, people, there will be NO extra marital fling at least from Armaan's side.
RIDDHIMA: Well, she is the most complex character here but the song sequence gave us another glimpse into her heart today. The mirror scene of course showed her smile at the image of her and Armaan embracing each other- that says it all- the smile is the true Riddhima.
The other significant scene was her trying to walk out through a door but the moment she opens it, a chain stops her from walking out. That door is her marriage. Even if she wants to walk out, she cannot as there is a chain lock stopping her from doing so. That's when she thought her hands are tied up in a chain. So, IMO, the chains are her marriage and NOT Armaan and Sid on each chain. She can look outside the door where Armaan is standing, but cannot escape the confines of her marriage.
SID: Poor Sid is just too numb to say anything. Hasta khelta jawaan ladke ki zindagi mein itna dard kyun aaya? He is lying on ice just to numb himself from all the pain inflicted upon him since Ridz has come into his life.
Ya Saasuma Sequence:
At first, I was happy with the way saasu ma scolded Ridz for hiding the marriage. She was absolutely right in getting upset at her and Sid but then she threw that big bombshell of KHAANDAN KI IZZAT! Al right,we all know khaandan ki izzat ke liye hamari Riddhimakuch bhi kar sakti hai. Guess, her chains have become even tighter now. We all know she will never let her parents and now in this case her in laws down for the sake of khandan ki izzat. Mangalsutra+khaandan ki izzat= imprisonment for Ridz in this love less marriage.
Hospital scene:
BTW, if the work load at Sanjeevani has increased, why are all the interns lazing around on the bb field?
Loved Dr Keerti's scolding of Ridz....she deserves it. Ridz is not only heartless these days, she has become very unprofessional. Hope she learns something about professionalism from Armaan.
Divorce paperwork:
No points for guessing that Ridz madam will tear the papers, throw them at Sid's face and then give a thrashing to both Armaan and Sid tomorrow.
Girl, it might just be a good thing that the men get a break from you for sometime. Her nagging, crankiness, tears, screaming, unprofessionalism and constant preaching is getting on my nerves. At this point, I feel neither guy deserves a wife like her.
Nevertheless, I can justify Ridz's behavior to a severe case of clinical depression that makes her the way she is these days. In my mind, there is no doubt that she still cherishes and loves armaan but now because of all the chains on her body, will try to make the marriage work.
Armaan playing cupid?? I would hate to see that because that would be humanly impossible for a guy as passionate as Armaan. He should just leave the couple to sort out their issues on their own. If Ridz is meant to be his, love will find a way- if not tomorrow, some other day in near future.
