guys!!! before i start to write anything let me tell you mahi is my favourite too...seriously!!!

but lets be realistic!!! do u realli think a fat girl...i mean a really fat girl like mahi , would any guy like shiv whos charming and handsome might be interested in her? guy like shiv can get any damn girl...anybdy than y mahi?😕😕😕...i know i do sound like a 😡 b@4**** but lets face the truth!!

so if you see all these TV serials b😡e it mahi way or rishta.com or anything they are just leading us in believing that miracles happen and even if u are fat n ugly a handsome guy will propose to u!!! which is not the case.

why cant they show something like mahi is actually trying to reduce weight not because she is not ablw to get a guy but because thats a healthy way of living so that she does not incur any health related issues like hi blood pressure, hi cholestrol or diabetes. so it will even carry a social message that u don need to be perfect slim and trim to look good, but it happend to be a healthy way of living.

plzz donot hate me....even i like MAHI WAY its the best tv series in the history of indian television...something different than normal saaas bahu n all!!

in a way u r rite...but the point they r making in show is tht even fat nd ugly ppl have rights to live,love n marry by choice not by pressure, that they hv a heart too! when ever ne 1 sees a fat person, they first the say uff ye kitni moti hia ya ye badsurat.,,they never notice ne other thing, may be she had got good hairs, preety eyes or nething else....the point they trying to prove is a fat or ugly person can make choices n rejections, they shuld not make compromises n settled for the wrong one's just becoz they r fat n ugly...n i think this does worth as a msg n believe me i hv seen really fat girls getting really good n slim guys...its just matter of luck i guess...

When Shows/Movies show beautiful couples, people always say, every one isn't like that...which is true. Size is not everything, and even though media takes over everyones everyday lives there are some people who truly look for a good person. Not many...but there are some out there.

I haven't seen any good looking guys dump their wives just because they've become fat after marriage. So what's wrong with someone liking a fat girl before marriage?

No offense to your post, and nor am I saying this out of hate or anything. Don't get me wrong...

i understand what u mean however, all i am trying to say is.....being fat or thin is completely in ones hand ......unless some other consideration.

What i meant is...the show should also try and convey this message that being fat and eating all those fatty foods , choclates etc everyday!!! is completly unhealthy...they can somehow show mahi being concious about her weight due to problems that can arise out of it like cholestrol etc not cuz she wud look good!!! donto take it wrong darlings!!! :) i also LOVE MAHI......❤️

I agree, every time they show her pigging out from a cookie tin, or a chocolate box, I feel like I want to gag...because it just makes it stereotypical that all fat people eat unhealthy and are fat because of them being so careless.

I love the show and how it relates to real life...except the food part, and yes they should have showed her being a healthy eater and naturally fat...rather than eating unhealthy fatty foods when she's down.

I hope they show something like self realization...where she doesn't completely go on a health freak out diet...but to eating healthy...except the golgappa part...how fattening can they really be? lol

Oh well, how is my opinion going to matter...its just one in many! haha!

i know a gal who is fat.. a very charming and a chirpy person.. she has a bf.. and the guy s heads over heels in luv with her.. and they r a happy couple...
i know many other gals who are not v thin and have found tat spl person...
but ya.. i agree she has to lose weight... but for herself.. nt to please others...

i think mahi is just overweight...not ugly. And i have seen sooo many couples out there where the boy is attractive and the girl is average; or the boy is average and the girl is gorgeous. even these attractive people could get other people just as good looking as them. but yet there is a thing called LOVE which people FEEL. and not SEE

im glad it still exists in this world, other than shallow people looking for outer beauty. what happens when that fades? that 'love' also goes away. a thin beautiful woman will one day get pregnant and her whole body will change, and with time shell get gray hair and wrinkles. and if she ends up with someone shallow, then he will lose interest in her as soon as the physical changes happen

i agree with u! i have seen these situations in real life and sadly i have never seen an even average guy like an overweight girl let alone a dashing handsome successful guy like shiv.
plus i hate how they show mahi eating like a hog all the time! i love mahi way but seriously fat people DO NOT eat like tht!! if someone really ate like tht ALL THE TIME they would be like 800 pounds or something.....

Mahi is not ugly first of all. She is over-weight but as nsheena pointed out, Mahi needs to lose weight for her self....and not to please others.

Being over weight does not hinder one from finding a soul mate. In Mahi's case....even a person like Shiv has fallen captive to the same person we all tune in to watch on Fridays. As of late, it seems that ppl. are becoming more jaded. In that they only find "love" in how a person looks. A person's personality counts a gazzillion times more than the way one looks.

I personally know several women, who despite being over weight have found them selves some really good men. These men (rarity now a days) fell in "love" with women who have personalities and intellect. After all....beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

And all of us have fallen in love with Mahi as well...we tune in religiously to watch her show. She has won millions of hearts....what is Shiv?😊

Its whats inside that matters....not looks....Indian people need to really get away from the fat/ugly/dark/white mentality and focus on the heart...people will be much more happier that way
