Hello my SaJan ki Deewanis!!!šŸ¤—

Since we all were expecting Sam's mom track, but as per the latest news of Suhaani going back to London, I feel that now Sam's mom's track has been shelved (at least for some time). So, I thought of writing a re-union scene of Sam and his mom. I know there cud b hundreds and thousands of ways for this re-union, but this one clicked in my mind and I thought of sharing it wid all u beautiful ppl out here. Again, like always, I'll try my best to keep it simple, interesting and above all SaJanish. I sincerely hope that u all like it. I'll b eagerly waiting for ur comments, replies and most importantly, criticism.

I've written this scene primarily as a birthday gift for one of my most special and dearest friend here, Naveen. She and I were discussing Sam's mom's entry over the weekend and it was then, that I got the idea of writing it. Naveen, I don't know how to make avis, siggys, vms, but I really wanted to give u something special on ur birthday. Thus, there's only one thing left that I can always try and that is to write a SaJan related scene. So, this one's for u my sweetheart. I sincerely hope that u like it. Before getting started, I wish u a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Hope u have a great day and a fabulous year.

I Owe My Life To U – A SaJan Scene

It was Sunday morning. Gunjan was at Sam's house, and they both were preparing a project report that they had to submit within a few days. Suhani was also at home and she was in her room doing some college work. Sam was in a very good mood, and why wudn't he be. After all, his Chashmish was wid him, they too were alone, Gunjan was busy doing the project and Sam was busy destracting her attenction from the project and diverting it towards himself. So, there were cute fights going on b/w them. It was almost 1pm that Sam started feeling hungry. Gunjan told him that she'll make something to eat and on his special request, she went to the kitchen to make his favorite dish, rajma chawal. Sam and Suhani also helped her in the preparations. It was cooking with fun. All three were enjoying, laughing, giggling, and teasing each other. In short, it was a perfect Sunday morning for them.

And now the scene begins:

After the lunch was ready, they took it to the dining table. All three of them took their seats and were all set to start eating. Sam was pouring water in his glass. Just then the door bell rang. Instant reaction from all three, "is waqt kaun a gya hai?"

Samrat: (with water in his mouth), "tum dono rook, I'll see kaun aya hai?"

Samrat opened the door and saw a lady standing outside. On the mere sight of her, the ground under his feet shook completely, he became totally numb, as if totally lifeless, wid eyes wide open, and the glass in his hand fell on the ground and broke into small pieces. Still he didn't react.

Gunjan and Suhani rushed from the dining area to see what has happened. They saw the lady, who had by now come into the room, and Sam was still at the door wid his back towards the lady. As soon as she saw her, Suhani got a big smile on her face and rushed towards the lady and hugged her..

Suhani: "Mom, ap a gayein. O', I'm so happy".

Mrs. Shergill (Samrat and Suhani's mom) had just arrived from London. She was a tall, fair lady, quite graceful and elegant. She was wearing a sari, wid hair tied in a bun. From her looks, she seemed to b a sweet and a caring person.

Gunjan, who was standing on one side of the room, was not able to understand whatever was happening. And then the word "mom" just hit her hard. She froze at the place where she was standing, wid her eyes open wide too. The only thought that she had was, "ye Samrat ki mom hein?? Ye yahan kaise??? Kya Suhani ko pata tha??? Samrat kaisa feel ker raha ho ga?".

She was lost in these thoughts when she heard Sunhani scream, "BHAIIII, KHOOON".

It so happened that when Samrat saw his mom standing at the door, he got one of the biggest shocks of his life. He was filled wid anger, frustration, and wid whatever force he had, he pressed the glass in his hand so hard that it broke and fell on the ground, leaving several wounds on his hand. These wounds started bleeding, but he didn't even feel anything coz the wound of his heart opened after sooo many years and it was paining like hell.

Suhani's scream brought him back to life. He turned around, wid his eyes fuming wid anger and saw Suhani standing close to his mom.

Sunhani: (in a shaking voice), "bhai, woh.."

Before she could continue, Mrs. Shergill interrupted, "Beta.."

A current passed through Samrat's body, as if he has got a high voltage electric shock and he shouted, "Mut kahein mujhe beta. Nahin hun mein apka beta".

Wid this he turned around in sheer anger, blood tripping down his hand and he rushed towards his room.

Gunjan was watching all dis. As soon as Samrat passed by her, she tried to stop him and in a feeble voice said, "Samrat.."

Samrat paused for a second and again headed towards his room. Gunjan looked at Suhani and Mrs. Shergill, Her eyes were filled wid fear, fear of the unknown. She gave a small nod and a very weak smile to Mrs. Shergill and straight away went to Samrat's room.

Suhani and Mrs. Shergill were in the lounge, where Mrs. Shergill asked her abt who the girl is, and Suhani told her abt Samrat and Gunjan. Then they started discussing abt how to make Samrat listen to her and understand her, her limitations, problems etc.

Samrat went in his room and started throwing away all the things of his tables and shelves and while doing so, was constantly saying..

"Ye kyon yahan ayi hein. Ab inhein mujh se kya chahiye. Inhein yahan se jana ho ga. Mujhey kuch kerna ho ga ke ye yahan se chali jayen". All this while tears were rolling down his eyes and he was in extreme pain, was extremely hurt.

After taking his frustration out on almost all the things of his room, he sat on his bed, wid a complete stunned look on his face.

Gunjan knew that she had a tough task ahead, but she also knew at this time Samrat wud b needing her the most, She went into Samrat's room and saw everything lying on the floor, some broken, some intact and drops of blood were everywhere on the floor. On the bed she saw Samrat sitting, totally lost in his thoughts, his cheeks were red in anger, tears rolling down his eyes and his hair totally messed up. It seemed as if someone has taken life out of him and it was just a body sitting there. Gunjan knew that she had to remain firm, only for Samrat.

She went inside, picked up the things that were lying on the ground, from the cabinet took out the first aid box, and sat next to Samrat.

Gunjan: (took his hand that had by now stopped bleeding) "Samrat.."

Her voice and her touch poured life back in him. He looked at her, in her eyes, and then closed his eyes and placed his head on her shoulder to find some peace.

Gunjan started cleaning and then bandaging his wound, and while doing so she said: "Samrat ye tum kya ker rahey ho? Kyon apney ap ko itni takleef pohancha rahey ho? Tum ne zara bhi socha hai ke is se hum pe kya betey gi, mujh pe kya betey gi?? Who tumhari maa…"

The word "maa" came out of her mouth and Samrat became furious again. He pulled back his head from her shoulder and immediately stood up.

"Nahin hein woh meri maa. Kuch nahin lagti hein woh meri. Maa kya aisi hoti hein Gunjan? Arey ek maa to apney bachon ke liye kya kuch nahin kerti. Aur inhon ne, inhon ne toh hamesha mujhey dukh dia hai. Mujh se meri her khushi cheeni hai. Meray bachpan ko, meri behen ko, meri family ko, yahan tak ke khud ko bhi mujh se cheen liya hai. Kya aisi hoti hai maa Gunjan?".

The word "Gunjan" came as a setback to her, coz despite being her own name, the identity given to her by her parents, she starts hating it when Samrat calls her by this name. She is only and only "Chashmish" for him. But understanding the severity of the situation, she let this go off. At this time, there was only one important thing for her and that was to cool down Samrat;s anger and make him understand the whole thing.

She was thinking abt all dis, Samrat came hurriedly towards her, held her by her shoulders tightly and said (in a tone as if he was requesting her and in a voice that had started breaking up): "Chashmish, tum yahan pe merey paas hi rehna. Tum toh mujhey chod ke nahin jao gi na Chashmish. Tum bahir mat jana, nahin woh tumhein bhi mujh se cheen lein gi. Yehi toh ata hai unhein. Issi liye toh ayi hein who yahan pe. Tum ne dekha na Chashmish, kaise unkey atey hi Suhani unke saath ho gayi. Ab woh tumhein bhi mujh se dur ker dein gi. Please Chashmish, promise kero ke tum bahir nahin jao gi, unkey saamney nahin jao gi, unsey baat nahin kero gi" (and by this time his voice and he himself completely broke).

Gunjan let him complete, coz she knew that it was important for him to vent out his feelings, burst his emotions that were boiling in his head. And when his voice broke, she didn't know wat to do, except she hugged him as tightly as she cud. The moment she hugged him, he started crying loudly, and held onto her wid all his force. Tears started rolling down from her eyes also. They both remained silent for a few minutes, but this silence had to b broken, coz this problem needed to b dealt wid words.

When Samrat's emotions had somewhat flown out in the form of tears from his eyes, Gunjan loosened her grip. He also let his hands go off her. She took his hand (that was bandaged) in her hand, took him to the sofa that was placed near the window, and made him sit there. She sat next to him, and still holding his hand said, "Samrat, meri taraf dekho". (moving his face in her direction wid her other hand)

He looked up in her eyes. She wiped tears off his face and in the most concerned manner continued, "Samrat tum ye soch bhi kaise saktey ho ke mein tumhein kabhi chod sakti hun. Tumhein yaad hai, jab di ki shaadi ke waqt tum ne mujhey bataya tha ke tumhari mom a rahi hein, toh main ne us waqt bhi tumhein kaha tha ke mein hamesha tumharey saath hun. Samrat mein janti hun is waqt tum bohat shocked ho, lekin Samrat tum kab tak haqeeqat se bhago gey. Ek na ek din toh tumhein usey face kerna hi hai. Aur ye jo tareeka tum ne adopt kya hai, kya tumhein lagta hai ke ye theek hai?".

Samrat (understanding whatever Gunjan was saying, still not getting wat to do): "Per Chashmish tum hi batao ke mein kya keron? Mein ne apni zindagi un ke baghair jeeni seekh li hai Chashmish. Ab meri zindagi mein sirf ek person important hai, jo meri puri family hai, aur woh tum ho Chashmish. Mein ne unki wajah se itna kuch khoya hai ke ab kuch aur nahin kho sakta. Aur agar unhon ne tumhein mujh se dur kerney ki koshish ki, to mein nahin ji paon ga Chashmish. Tum theek kehti thi Chashmish, humein koi dur karey, us se pehley humein shaadi.."

Gunjan didn't want this issue to come up like dis. She had to stop him there and then, and that she did,

"Samrat tumhein ye kyun kag raha hai ke woh humein alag ker dein gi. Who yahan tum se, apney betey se milney ayi hein. Samrat mein janti hun jo tumharey saath bachpan mein hua, us se tum ne apni puri life mein suffer kiya hai. Magar tum ne kabhi ye socha hai ke apney betey ko khoney ke baad tumhari maa ki life kaisi ho gayi ho gi. Kyonke agar tum ne aisa na kiya aur aj unhein janey dia, toh phir aisa na ho ke tum apni puri life apney decision pe regret kero. Aur is regret ka bojh uthana bohat mushily hai, Hum chahey jitney bhi barey ho jayein, apney parents se kabhi barey nahin ho saktey. Humari unki taraf bohat responsibilities hoti hein. Ho sakta hai, is waqt unhein tumharu zarorat ho, aur tum unhein mana ker ke unka dil bhi todo, aur apna bhi. Mein tumhein tum se bhi zyada achi tarah janti hun Samrat, tum kabhi kisi ka dil nahin tod saktey ho, aur ye, ye toh tumhari apni maa hai".

Gunjan's words made Samrat realize his mistake. He knew that whatever she was saying was absolutely correct. But he was confused abt his own feelings and didn't understand wat to do.

Samrat: "Tum hi batao na Chashmish ke mein kya karun".

Gunjan: "Tum sirf apney dil ki suno Samrat. Jantey ho Samrat, mein bohat choti thi jab meri maa mujhey chod ke chali gayi. Bauji aur di ne mujhey bohat pyar dia, sab kuch dia, magar phir bhi maa ki kammi hamesha meri zindagi mein rahi. Sab kuch hotey huey bhi aisa lagta hai, jaise merey paas kuch nahin hai. Parents ka saath, uka saya dunya ki sab se keemti cheez hai. Tum kyon is keemti asset ko khona cahahtey ho? Tumehin kis baat ka darr hai. Mein tumharey saath hun, aur hamesha rahungi."

Samrat: "Toh tum ye keh rahi ho ke…"

Gunjan interrupted him here: "Samrat, mein sirf ye keh rahi hun ke tum apni maa ko bhi aur khud ko bhi ek moka do. Un se ja ke baat kero, unki baat suno Samrat. Unki majborion ko, problems ko samjho . Aise hi bina sochey samjhey koi decision mat lo. Bas ek baar unki dil ki baat sun lo. Dekhna sab kuch theek ho jaye ga…"

While she was saying dis, Samrat kept his finger on Gunjan's lips and with signs of relief on his face and spark in his eyes, looked in her eyes. Since this whole issue started, it was the first time that he was looking in her eyes the way he always does. And then goes on to say,

"Shhh…Tumhein aur kuch kehney ki zarorat nahin hai Chashmish. Mein tumhari baat samajh gya hun. Agar tum meri zindagi mein na hoti, toh mein kya kerta Chashmish?".

Gunjan was speechless after hearing dis. They communicated wid their eyes for a while and then Gunjan removed his finger from her lips, took his hand in her hand and covered it wid the other and wid a sweet smile said, "Toh jao Samrat. Ye waqt, ye moka apne haaton se na janey do."

He responded wid a smile and they both got up from the sofa and turned towards the door. As soon as they saw there, they both got stunned…. Suhani and Mrs. Shergill were standing there. Just like Gunjan and Samrat, their eyes were wet and cheeks had traces of tears that although had stopped falling on them, but left their traces there.

Gunjan stepped back a little and Samrat moved a bit forward. Suhani and Mrs. Shergill entered the room. When Sam and his mom came face to face, Mrs. Shergill, in a low voice, said, "S-a-m-r-a-t b-e-t-a.."

Just as the word beta came from her mouth, Samrat went to her and hugged her. The hug gave them both soo much of relief, peace, tranquility, as if it was something that they both were longing for since ages. The tears that had dried for some time, got rolling again.

Samrat: ""Mom.. I'm sorry mom..mujhey maaf ker dein. Mein hamesha apney barey mein hi sochta raha. Kabhi ye nahin socha ke apki kya majbori ho gi jis ki wajah se apney mujhey choda. i'm really sorry mom".

Mrs. Shergill broke the hug, wiped tears from Samrat's face and said, "Hey son. Tum kyon sorry keh rahey ho. Sorry toh mujheu kehna chahiye. Ghalti toh meri thi ke mein ne tumhein yun apne se dur janey dia. Us waqt mein kuch nahin ker pai thi beta. Shayad woh meri kamzori thi, magar us din se aj tak, mein apni us ghalti ki saza bhugat rahi hun. Her pal tumhein yaad kertin hun. Sochti thi, mera Samrat kaisa ho ga? Woh kiski tarah dikhta hoga? Uski life kaisi hogi? Bohat dafa socha tumharey paas aon, magar ye soch ke dar jati ke agar tum ne mujhey maaf na kiya toh meri her umeed khatam ho jayegi. Lekin ab mujh se raha nahin gya beta. Mein tum se apney kiye ki maafi.."

Samrat interrupted her: "Nahin mom, plz ap mujhey sorry mut kahein. Halaat hi kuch aisey the ke mein kuch samajh nahin paya, magar mom Chashmish ne.."

Samrat immediately stopped. Mrs. Shergill gave him a questioning look as if she was asking who this "Chashmish" is.

Samrat: (looking towards Gunjan) "Woh mom, Chashmish..ye.. meri…a… mom, issi ne mujhey meri ghalti ka ehsaas dilaya hai mom. Is ne hamesha mera saath dia hai, meri perwah ki hai. Aj mein jo apke saamney khara hun, toh woh sirf aur sirf Chashmish ki wajah se. Mom ye meri strength hai, sab se badi support hai. "

Mrs. Shergill looked at Gunjan, whose heartbeat was racing like anything, her hands were sweating, her nervousness has achieved a new record level. She held the corner of her dupatta tightly. Mrs. Shergill started walking towards her and while doing so, she said."Toh ye hai Gunjan. Jantey ho Samrat mein ne tum dono ki saari baatein sun li hein."

This was the worst Gunjan cud ever imagine. She just wanted to run away from there. She wanted it to b a nightmare, but it was not.

Mrs. Shergill went up to her and with her hand, lifted Gunjan's face so that she cud look in her eyes, see her innocent and beautiful face. She said to her, "Gunjan mujhey samajh nahin a raha kai mein kis tarah tumhara shukriya ada keron beta. Tum ne aj ek maa ko uska beta lota dia hai. Mein ne dekha hai ke kis tarah tum ne Samrat ke zakhmon ko bhara hai, woh bhi jo uskey haath pe hein, aur woh bhi jo bachpan se uskey dil pe lagey huey hein. Thank u so much beta for everything, for taking care of my son." Wid this she went close to her and kissed her forehead.

The kiss, Mrs. Shergill's words and her affection came as the biggest relief for Gunjan. Samrat and Suhani also came near them.

Gunjan (in a scared and a feeble voice): "Auntie plz ap aisey mut…"

Mrs. Shergill: "Mujhey kehney do beta, tum nahin janti tum ne aj mujh pe kitna bara ehsaan kya hai. Mujhey hamesha se fikr thi ke Samrat ke dost kaise hun ge. Kahin wo kisi ghalat company mein na chala jaye (looking towards Samrat). Phir mujhey Suhani ne tumharey baarey mein bataya. Aur aj tumhein dekh ker, tumhari batein sun ker merey dil to tasalli ho gayi hai. Ab mujhey koi worry nahin hai ke Samrat kabhi kuch ghalat karey ga. Kyonk uske paas tum jo ho, uski…"

Gunjan had to interrupt here. By this time, she knew that Suhani has told everything to her mom, and anticipating an embarrassing comment, Gunjan shyly lowered her face and said, "Woh auntie, ap thak gayi hon gi. Mein khana laga deti hun. Ap khana kha ke thoda rest ker lein".

Mrs. Shergill enjoyed Gunjan's reaction and got her message that she was shy and not comfortable talking abt the same, so she let go off that topic.

Suhani: "Chalo Gunjan, mein bhi tumharey saath ati hun".

Samrat didn't know wat happened to him, but he just cudn't control saying,"Mom ap aur Suhani chalein. Mujhey Chashmish se kuch baat kerni hai. Hum abhi atey hein".

Gunjan got all confused. Suhani and Mrs. Shergill left.

Gunjan: "Samrat tum bhi na… kabhi bhi kuch bhi bole detey ho.."

Abhi, she was saying all dis and Samrat came and hugged her. For a second she cudn't understand whatever happened but then she also wrapped her arms around him. For the last hour or so, she was controlling her own emotions, her feelings and Samrat's hug gave her the very much required place to release herself. In his arms, she found the rescue, peace, comfort.

She was treasuring every second of being in his arms, when she heard him saying: "Chashmish, mein tumhein sirf ek cheez ke liye thanks kehna chahta hun, aur wo ye hai ke tum meri life mein ayi. Tum ne mera her khushi mein, dukh mein saath dia hai Chashmish aur aj tum ne mujhey meri ek bohat keemti cheez dilwa di hai. Mein tumharey bina kuch nahin hun Chashmish aur mein tum se promise kerta hun ke mein hamesha tumharey saath rahun ga. Aj tum ne ek baar phir se mujhey zindagi di hai, I owe my life to u Chashmish."

He said this and they both were again lost in their hug. Time came at a standstill, everything became non-existant. It was just two of them, and dis was all that they needed.

Suddenly, they heard Mrs. Shergill's voice, coming from the other room: "Gunjan, Samrat, a jao. Khana thanda ho raha hai".

They both broke the hug. Gunjan straightened her dupatta, whereas, Samrat still had both his hands around her waist. Something struck his mind. He got a naughty smile on his face said, "Wasie Chashmish, kya khyal hai, Gunjan Bhushan se better Gunjan Samrat sound kerta hai.. hai na??...(wid this he lifted his eyebrows and winked at her)"

Gunjan was shocked, her eyes wide opened. She blushed and from rosy pink color, her cheeks instantly chaged into bright pink ones. Not understanding how to react to dis one, she stared at Samrat (with a smile on her face and shyness in her eyes).

"Chodo mujhey Samrat" and she romved his hands from her waist and rushed towards the door.

Samrat was enjoying every expression of hers. He turned around to see her, and she had almost reached the door. Samrat looked up and was thanking God, when he felt her standing close to him.

He looked at her. She came closer and closer, and said, "I love u Samrat", gave a small kiss on his cheek and ran out from the door.

Samrat, for a second got numb at her gesture, and then ran after her.

Then all four of them enjoyed lunch together, like a big, happy family.
