In present India majority speak Hindi, Hindi is one of our official Languages and the Government is taking all possible steps to make it a National Language by spending Crores in promoting Hindi.
Hindi is the most preferred and most wanted language to be used as a linking language amongst our diversity. There are states which are opposing Hindi; however no one can stop the spread of Hindi across India.
How did Hindi become a majority in India while other Indian languages could not spread across India though being older than Hindi. E.g.: Sanskrit , one of the Oldest languages has become extinct and is now used only in temples and people hardly understand Sanskrit. What made Hindi so special that it has become more popular than the mother (Sanskrit)?
