to start off with, Armaan and Riddhima getting married IS A BIG DEAL!!!! i was shocked at the fact that Armaan took it so litely! forget joy, they were so casual about the whole thing, as though it was just another happening in his daily routine! this callousness shocked me to an extent! the dialogue, shaadi with riddhima, okay? i am ready, anytime... was a little too simply told for the huge halla that was created about AR and coming together... alright, it was a fake shaadi, yeh tumhe pata hai, yeh mujhe pata hai, Riddhima ko pata hai, sab ko pata nahi, lekin Armaan ko nahi pata na? doesnt he remember how many papads he had to belo before sasurji said yes?????? n now he is ready to jump the gun! wow!!! now dont tell me he was so excited he didnt realise what he was doing.... which brings me to point number two...
a man who claims, tum ho toh main hoon, tum nahi toh kuch nahi, doesnt see the fact that the woman he loves isnt the same anymore, even if he does, he shouts at her, open challenges her that she will come back to him, and in the very next scene, without even remembering what happened, readily says he will marry the girl....
there is a need to seriously revisit some of the old episodes of DMG i feel, where the AR love was so strongly cemented !!!
Sid just sits and watches.... and watches... and doesnt raise a word and all we get to hear is how riddhima remembers how its their duty to make others happy, sid knows well enough that his mother has been faking it, but he still puts up this helpless boy's act...
riddhima toh dont even ask!!! i get her dilemma and the choices she has had to make, i only wish, she could stop crying and act more! i say, if she wants to give her husband a chance she should be a little more vocal abt it... at the same at i dont see her even getting drawn towards Armaan, i am sorry but i fail to see her helplessness!!
i really dont know if its because the actors on the show are busy else where, and hence the makers have to make do with flashbacks and impactless episodes...
today was the last straw... i thought they would focus on Armaan's joy and his feelings when he was finally getting married to Riddhima, and he would get disturbed by her detachment towards the whole thing! none of tht happened, even when he comes to know about the truth, i thought the shock would be stressed upon! again zero!!! riddhima just says her bit and runs away from there ... only to be found later in front of god! that again seemed like an scene straight outta some soppy drama where the gal has nothing to turn to!!!
and that scene with friends? well, at this serious point in the episode, do we really need or for that matter care about what they feel!!! rather, had sid chosen to go talk to his wife and check on how she is doing, i would have appreciated it a little more... the mother and son talk, again a quick patchwork, where the mother so easily accepts what her son had done! looks like the bitchy saas didnt work out...
and finally when we get to see Armaan walking along the corridor, the scene is over before that tear actually manages to roll down your eyes...
this has been the problem with DMG i feel since the time Armaan has returned, they dont build on emotions the way they used to at one point in time... there is so much to play with, but they end up showing us such half baked stuff...
today its not about the actors! i clearly have issues with the direction and the screenplay!! DMG waaley seriously need to remember that its the emotions and their high and low points of the show that have made us all fall in love with it ... they cant take that away from us! thats to say the least disappointing! Armaan's reaction in the pre-cap is what i expected of him! i was relieved to some extent, but i am still sad that they ruined what could have been an amazing episode! the visuals in our imagination perhaps give us a greater high than what we finally see on screen!!!!
thats all i have to say!!!
