This is the voice of the common man who watches the show.......
.I watch the show to be entertained.....I don't want to see intricate dances involving wires and walls and bungee etc. I just want to watch something that makes me smile, that makes me want to imitate what the dancer on stage is doing......I am not going to be jumping around in a bungee anytime soon or be dangling from wires or climbing walls while dancing...soo anything along those lines doesn't interest me....I as the common man want to see dances that I grew up seeing and liking.....yessss Dance is not bound by borders but I relate better to dances that I grew up seeing......contemporary, hip-hop, crumping are all great forms and deserve tremendous respect but I don't relate to them very much.....Show me bhangra, show me garba, show me bollywood, show me indian classical and I'll be happy...........I don't like dances with deep messages hidden in them....I work hard all day, I deal with tons of problems, when I am sitting in front of my tv at night I don't want to think about other people's problems and problems facing the world.....just show me your dance without telling me anything about your medical. or financial problems......I like to watch dances that I can talk to my coworkers or friends about the next day, and say "wow did you see what he/she did yesterday"? I don't frankly care which dancer can do a better contemporary then which dancer or which dancer can do a better hip hop? I just care about the dancer whose dance stuck with me when I turned the TV off......
I am the common man in charge of judging the contest along with all the other common man who watch the show.....I am not trained in dance, if you want the title of best dancer then you've come to the wrong contest...I am going to judge the person who connected with me the best and who made me smile and who made me forget for those few moments the difficulties and problems I along with all the other common men have to deal with on a daily basis.......I don't care if you tripped and fell while doing your dance and the other contestant didn't.....If your dance and your story that you tried to tell with your dance made me smile. made me forget and the other dancer's didn't then guess what for me you did a better job because when you are on my TV screen, your job is to entertain me......If you want to be the best dancer in India, guess what you shouldn't be on the TV screen you should be in a dance school learning and practicing.........Remember my words as these are the words of the common man.......😊
PS : obviously common man term includes women tooo sooo common man includes all common people.......😊
