As Riddhima gets up to leave, Sid's Mom reminds her of the promise she made, whatever she would ask Riddhima would do it. (Normally such promises are made on death bed.) Riddhima looks at Sid and he nods his approval. Riddhima takes the hot seat. The concerned interns now want to know the juicy details. Who said I love you
first...blah blah! JP and Jiggy are now are drooling to hear the Prem Kahani. Naina gets cosy with Yuvi, imagining a candle light dinner. The Mom is so engrossed and
narrowly focused to deliver Riddhima to Armaan that she misses that too.
Now everyone has started pushing Armaan to tell their love story, Riddhima is uneasy and squirming in her chair, Armaan who knows her and claims her to be hers, finally considered it to be prudent to ask Riddhima "ke bata hoon". Sid is staring at Riddhima and in the back of his mind wondering this time which flashback they will show. In the flashback, Armaan's shoulder is injured, there she says I hate you, and he says I love you, they do it a couple of times and she says I love you and I was waiting for Armaan to say I hate you.. role reversals.. but they stopped the flashback.
Jiggy passed a lovely friendly comments appreciating good luck of Armaan finding a girl's love in the OPD. Expression was relaistic "Wow!" Sid looked angry possibly he did not have a I love you-hate you flashback to his credit.
Guys its 6-5, as Sid is one down. When he said "Our very own world's greatest love affair", Riddhima was still squirming, no doubt he is the greatest lover, so is any rabbit!.
Again Sid looks at Riddhima unhappily,Why??? she stayed back on his nod, she is not saying anything, all his friends are passing lechery remarks hearing the love story. He like all other husbands can only blame his wife (I said it friends!!!!!!!!!)
Armaan is enjoying every moment of it, as if on a cookery show. Mom is mum with joy.. Meanwhile, they continued with Armaan's version of his greatest love story, and showed another flashback of lovebirds, Sid probably became more upset because in his flashback they are fighting. Would he get same scores for fighting instead of loving. Probably this fight was a prelude to love. Accepted!!!
Armaan continues with his flashbacks and Sid finally starts to match each of them and he seems to be back in the game.
In his flashbacks, Armaan is kissing her forehead, already expressed his love verbally and physically by hugging, lifting, rolling with her and to match it Sid has up till now expressed "Main tumhe pasand karney laga hoon!" What goes around comes around, yesterday Sid's Mom taunted at Riddhima "tu toh bari slow nikli Riddhima" and look at her own son. Abhi Sahab Bahadur ne sirf pasand hi karna shru kiya hai woh bhi shaadi ke 2 months ke baad.
Never seen a girl being crushed so badly between two flashback tracks. Arman is flash-backing his love by hugs and Sid is flashing-back his close body interactions and Riddhima is on the receiving end in both the tracks. Suddenly as if Sid ran the wrong flashback and Riddhima father scene comes in where he offers to marry Riddhima. In my opinion, this was below the belt and unfair with Armaan. This is like our forum where people bring in different POV and change the direction of the discussion.
Anyways Armaan claims about their uniques love-story meanwhile Sid quickly fast forwards through the marriage scene and other scenes and bring himself in his comfort zone and lets out a sigh of relief.
Sid's Mom is the one who is most excited and ahead of everyone. "Chalo acha hai, love story set ho gaye aur baat shaadi tak ponch gaye". Mom is in a hurry to throw Riddhima back into Armaan's arms. The way Armaan corrected Sid's mom was amazing.. "na na Biya nahin, pehlay sigai.." as if Sid mom had a different sequence in her mind.
Surprising, Armaan and Riddhima were as close physically in their flashbacks as anyone could get, but Armaan exaggerated and revealed to the court that "sigai ke baad, din ba din, hum aur nazdeeq aate gaye." Armaan also stated that Riddhima started to believe in him after the engagement. Mom is still in a rush "Hmmm chat mangani aur pat biya hua tha?". Armaan clarifies Biya, you mean shaadi." and the crowd starts to chatter exactly like in the court where people are shocked by a statement during court proceedings.
Possibly like all anchors, mom also has a small ear piece, where the director told her, skip this part of the scene, assume they have been married and proceed directly re-enactment of their marriage ceremony. They will make their promises "sub ke saamnay". She assigned the roles, "Main Pandit, Armaan dulha and Riddhima uss ki dulhan". The last part of the dialogue keeps echoing in the room as heard on the cheap PA systems.
A thought flew across my mind, is the mom directly dialing up for the death-angel? is she asking for it? she is like now walking on the edge? Sid should finally hug his mom goodbye. Riddhima looks around, Armaan and Sid are so occupied with their own flashbacks. She tries to resist, but mom insists and says it slightly different to sound politically correct "tum wohi qasame khao gay jo shaadi ke mandhap pay Dulha aur Dulhan khatey hain" not that "jo tum donno nay khai thi" Uptill now she was interested in first hand story now she has become generic.
Mom continues to add to the scope of the project "jeevan bhar saath rehnay ki kasamey" , at this even Armaan looks lost, this is something he has not practiced and does have any flashback for quick referral. Mom adds "ab aayega kahani main naya morr" the mom says and Riddhima disagrees "ke mujh se nahin hoga" but mom reminds her the death-bed promise "tum nay mujh say waada kya hai" she looses her temper "tumhay karna parega, warna" then she pauses and start to act as she is stressed and cannot breathe.
As professional doctors should they buy it? If yes, then they should have stopped the fun show and taken her back to the ward and checked her, but if she becomes alright after Riddhima agrees, she stays. Can't they all see that she is making fool out of them. As she is breathing she says "waada kar, Waada kar", Sid is not interested in saving his mother instead he is more interested in Riddhima to accept. The flashback says it all "Hum jo kar rahey hain apnay liye nahin, balkay apnon kay liye kar rahey" And the biggest apnon to Sid is his mom, Sid can also see that she is pushing Riddhima to her limits. And then when Armaan also looses her, he inquires "Riddhima se shaadi" the mom winks at her.. same motherly wink. She recovers on her own and Armaan being the senior doctor is totally clueless of her symptoms and he is still thinking about his and Riddhima's marriage "WOW! Riddhima aur meri shaadi.. Sanjeevni main.." The kindergarten kids are standing there in fear because of Sid mom's symptoms or the marriage of Armaan and Riddhima.
Armaan is so keen to go through this marriage drill as the kids are to sit on the wooden horses and enjoy the ride.. hiyo, silver away!!!!wow!
In the next scene Riddhima is shown wearing dulhan's dress, a full dress rehearsal. Everything is readily available in the hospital. Now its her turn for flashbacks. Since its with Sid, would he get to add to his score.
Scene changes, everyone is sitting on the floor, hospital additional staff is there to add more people to humiliate Riddhima. Armaan arrives in his tunic and asks for Riddhima. Mom says "Dulhan hai time to lagaygee". Sid is sitting with the baraatees. Riddhimas walks in, stops and looks at Sid and Sid takes advantage of her stopping and looking at him, quickly runs through his marriage flashbacks. Then Mom forces them to go thru the promises, Sid keeps staring at her and keeps flashing-back to scenes relevant whatever they are doing.. handholding etc.
PreCap is same as yesterday, but possibly some clarifications/elaboration added for Armaan. As Armaan did to her, went into details of their love story, Riddhima is doing the same "Meri shaadi Sid se hui thi, Sidhant mera pati hai aur ab main Riddhima Gupta se Riddhima.. and drives it home, While mom is standing in the background in awe...
