Mangalsutra, Marriage and Honor - Reminder 10

Hi everyone,

Disclaimer: This is just a discussion post and not an AR vs SR post. Also, I am a happily married Hindu woman but after reading today's update, I couldn't resist myself from writing this post.

Today's episode proved that mangalsutra, saat pheras and marriages have no meaning if one doesn't respect the honor and dignity of their spouse. How could a husband sit through a whole narration of his wife's past love in front of everyone without opening his mouth or coming to the defense of his wife's honor?

Ridz's past love life was displayed like an open book in front of all the interns and Sid's mom, but why did he not stand up and say "PAST IS PAST...SHE IS MY WIFE NOW...STOP IT ARMAAN!"

I would have really respected Sid iif he had stood up for his wife but instead, he remained mum and dreamt about his dupatta scenes with Ridz😕

Didn't he marry Ridz to restore her dignity and reputation? What happened today? Is he so intimidated by Armaan and Armaan's love for Ridz? Granted he wants Ridz to make her own decision, but that can be sorted out in privacy. Why make a tamasha of your wife and indirectly, your relationship with your wife in front of everyone??

If I were Ridz, I would die of embarrassment and get really upset with my husband for letting people watch my numaish in front of everyone.

This just reiterates my belief that a marriage has to connect at the level of the heart and soul first, rituals alone don't make a marriage.

Also, I would like to add that Ridz finally speaking the truth is a big relief for me....just goes to show that women have to defend their honor themselves- stop depending on a husband to do that!

I can't say anything about sidhnat ji ...just irritated me alot in whole episode !!

I am just questioning his pledge to his father in law and sister in law.....main itna bhi chota nahin hoon ki Riddhima ki dekh bhaal na kar sakoon??? This was an acid test for him but IMO he has failed😕

I like the fact that FINALLY Riddhima is actually DOING something herself. No one was going to sort out the situation for her.. she needed to speak up and I am glad she did. Makes a change from the Riddhima that we have been watching for the past few weeks.

I would LOVE to see that though I dislike Riddhima but I don't think she deserves to have her private love life being paraded in Sanjeevani🤔

Just goes to show what a sham the SR marriage is.. just a piece of paper, a mangalsutra and sindoor which she isnt even wearing .. becos her husband told her to act /pretend !!!!!
Look at all the atrocities she has had to bear becos he doesnt have the guts to own up!!!

What a mockery of all the Saat Pheras and the Vachans you take! What a Sham this marriage is!!!!!
