Creatives, 1+1 usually equals 2 right?

The DMG creatives have made me question my maths skills.

DMG 2 was riding on trps of 0.3 with the new interns if I'm not wrong. So cinevistas must've been told to sort themselves out if they want DMG to remain on air. So they bring back Jennifer as Riddhima and hallelujah the trps go up to 0.6! Then the genius creatives thought....ahhhh...so the trps are up hence we don't need Armaan and TADAAAAAAAA they attempt a new love story between Sid and Riddhima except it doesn't go down well with the audience. DMG gets a warning that it will wrap up by April/May if they don't get their act sorted and TADAAAAAAAAAA they bring KSG back as Armaan and I very recently heard that DMG is the No.1 show on Star One. It might not be doing amazingly great of course with the IPL on but still its doing better than before.

So what have we got this from information?? Riddhima comes back=High TRPs, an attempt for a fresh love story=low trps and then Armaan comes back=High Trps.

My question is that if the producers and the creatives KNOW that they need the characters of Armaan and Riddhima in the show, if they know that they garner higher trps, if they know that their reunion is what the majority wants then WHY OH WHY are they being kept apart?? If we could just get one explanation for this then it would be great. My mind will be at peace because even if the creatives don't care about the fans they must bother about the trps right?

i agree reemz...with such useless tracks happening..jiska na sar hai na paair...i doubt whether it would work or not😆😆😆

Reemz, I think that's what the CVs are doing....it's a convoluted and insane way to get AR together, but when has there been much sanity on this show? We all watch it for the chemistry between the characters, not for logic or storyline. So, just think that this new silly track is a path towards AR reunion:)

TRPs weren't falling with SR track😆 They were constant - the same as when Jen first came back. KSG's comeback did absolutely nothing. The TRP's did not skyrocket like some fans thought they would. IPL must not be blamed because Bidaai just registered it's highest TRP during IPL season and shows like Ballika Vadhu & Pavitra Rishta still manage to garner high TRPs during the IPL season.

i totally disagree with yu hun. ummmmm i dnt knw were yu heard the info that KSG return has made DMG a number one show but i cn tell yu with what i have heard that the show has not bin number one since his return infact the TRP went dwn . IPL has nofing to do with the show TRP others shows havent been affected by the TRP and only DMG has umm kinda weird dnt yu think . The trp for DMG has been and ive said this many times but ill say it again at 0.5,.0.3,0.4 and ever nw and then 0.6 .

I fully agree with you, What kind of Production house Knows what makes their show tick and yet do the opposite???? its unheard of!
Yes , we knew a different sort of track was being experimented, a love triangle was on the way and we would be waiting for it. BUt THISSS???? What is it that they r experimenting with? There isnt even a tiny flame of love/emotion/regret/anger/anything that you would associate with such a Situation. Al we have is a draaaaagggggg and confused characters.
Thank god the essence of Armaan is intact otherwise even hard core fans like us would not even be able to recognise what show this is.

I don't know the exact trps at the moment but someone from the team was proudly heard saying that its the No.1 show on Star One right now and that person is very important to DMG 😊 I'm not pulling statements out of thin air.

The fact is that before Jenni came the trps were 0.3 max. She came and it went up to 0.6 but after that obviously the track was not wholly accepted hence KSG's return and as far as the latest news (only heard it yesterday) is concerned, the team is happy that its the no.1 show on the channel.

i read in the times yesterday that all shows, specially the most popular one's like balika vadhu, pavithra rishta, yeh rishta kya kehlata hain, n a few more r facing a major set back in trp's ever since IPL started.... the trp ratings have also been mentioned... yeh rishta dropped from 7-5.4, balika vadhu from 5.5-5, uttaran from 5.2-4.7.... given by TAM..... check it for urself if u don believe.... 😛

I know all the STAR ONE shows have been hit hard by IPL but KSG came exactly when the IPL began yet the trps remained constant right? Maybe even risen this week. So does that not show that with his return, DMG didn't get affected as much while MJHT and Ajnabee did? God knows what the trps might have been if he hadn't! Then the show definately would have been bye-byed!!
