Guys today was a remarkable day. After so many days of nail biting, heart pounding and sleepless nights over the show. Today something happened. As the show started and Sid and Riddhima were standing on the roof. As they were talking, the camera suddenly closes onto Sid's mouth and he tells Riddhima "tumhe Armaan ki biwi bun ke rehna ho ga!!"
Riddhima was confused "Sid tum ye kya keh rahe ho" That was the first time I started giggling with joy. I said quite loudly "ab pata chala, confusion kya hoti hai", all the posts on this subject started scrolling in front of my eyes, specially the one from sweetshruti. Whose pain I could read through her post but did not have words to console her. For the past whole month Riddhima has confused everyone by not telling Armaan and not wearing her mungalsutr, and her behavior has been really weird. NOW FOR THE FIRST SHE WAS ALSO CONFUSED!!!! "Sid tum ye kya keh rahe ho" and Sid like a true boxer came back to her punch after punch like "Ye Armaan ke liye, Yuvi or Naina ke lye, Mom ke liye, chalo mere liye" My giggling broke into a laughter, but he did not stop there "Humare apne liye nahin balakay apnon kay liye hai". My laughter was getting louder and louder, tears started rolling down my cheeks and I was gasping for air.
It reminded me of radio programmes where people send request "farmaish" for songs. I thought by the time he finishes the list of names (kiss kiss ke liye) for he is going to say Riddhima will sing on request "Main kya karoon Raam mujhe Gudda mil gaya"
Today I am relaxed. Dears!! I have taken off my shoes, unbuttoned my shirt, it no more SR-AR fan war anymore. It's a laughter challenge, which scene can make you laugh louder, and I would not mind that at the end of every scene Riddhima should appear as Jennifer herself and by swinging her arm as if slapping says "Ye hainLaughter ke Phatke!!!"
As day starts, Armaan calls his interns to practice a new way of treatment, I guess Armaan did not go on world tour with his band, instead he went to attend several professional courses for rehabilitation of Sid's Mom. (as evident by the extent of his new approach in the PreCap).
Yuvi and Naina, JP and Jiggy already have started announcing the date and time for other shows coming on Star One. Does this mean they do not have anything to show in Coming up window?????
I am sure this mix up happened due to the fact that the dialogue sheets given to them were written on the backside on the ad of those shows. When Yuvi and Naina complained to the director, "Sir, humarey to dialogue hi nahin iss scene main?"
"Nahin hai to kya hua," director said non-nonchalantly, "show ka naam aur time parh lo.. but I want full expressions on your face! haan!!!". Thats why they were formally dressed and possibly the most useful scene financially viable for Star One. Later, The same director was overheard telling the cameraman "Aaj kal kay naye actors kay nakhre barey, saaley dialogue mangtay hain, kissi kay likhay hon toh inko bhi dey dain". That also was a code breaking news as to why now Sid is saying "meri Maa, meri Maa" in every scene with Riddhima, Armaan keeps repeating "meri Riddhima, meri Riddhima" in every second scene with Sid, and and as of today he started saying "tum marey pass zaroor wapas aaogee", twice in the same scene. Riddhima keeps on repeating "Ye main kya kar rahi hoon, mere saath kya ho raha hai, main KYAAAAA karoon". They have become more of "Taqia - Kalaam" (pet phrases) for these character. I wish they could have hired someone from the next floor in the studios.
Riddhima is such an obedient patni that after Sid asked her to act as Armaan's wife she started looking into his eyes differently without any tears. Then again as Riddhima is locked in Armaan trance, If you notice the cameraman has a camera with a very narrow angle lens because unless Armaan and Riddhima faces are more than 6 inches apart the camera cannot capture them in the same frame. Are they using special camera for lover's effect???? Almost in all the recent scenes between Armaan and Riddhima their faces are between 2-5 inches apart. (Someone told me Riddhima is hard at hearing, therefore Armaan has to stands closer. This is why she kept asking Sid, tum yeh kya keh rahey ho? more than once) And as they are locked (it reminded me of Top Gun when the Maverick's radar locks on to the enemy aircraft seconds before firing the missile.) they have a tendency to stay locked unless someone shouts "It's a pack up for the day!" On the serious side of production, someone told me that they shoot the eyes-lock scene once for a duration of 15-20 minutes and then use a portion of it as when required. This is the trick they learnt from cooking shows. Make the masala once, keep it frozen and use it as and when required.
As I was wondering that now Sid has seen them together, the trouble should start now, my adrenal glands started pushing adrenalin into my system preparing me for action on the screen, but again they brought the lighter side as Armaan now blames Sid "tumahri wajah se wo chali gaye." "agar tum mere dost na hote toh I would have killed you!" WOW!!!! I said what a performance now Sid is going to come back to him and punch in his face, instead Sid say's "Sorry!!". I was stunned, then I got the joke and started laughing when Armaan tells Sid to get Riddhima out and bring her to him. And Sid goes in like a waiter and tries to convince Riddhima and again Riddhima is confused. (I was so happy, I turned pink with joy. She deserved this from all the viewers, at least now she know what confusion can do..) I almost yelled at the TV "ab batao, khud ke saath hua to ghussa aa gaya!" I am sure she really became angry at this and even tells Sid "iss tarah hum waqayhi door na nikal jaen ge ke laut kar na aa saken" Something to this effect, it was easily translated to "mera koi zimma nahin baad main"
Because of these two scenes alone where Riddhima was confused herself with the storyline, I have must have gained a full liter of blood with the happiness she brought to me and I kept humming "you fill up my senses.."
When Sid asks Riddhima to go out and meet Armaan (has someone seen Indecent Proposal?) She again reminds and question him about being his patni, this time she was really loud as she could be heard outside easily by Armaan, Instead of putting his hand on her mouth, Sid should have consoled her by hugging her that we have to do this for his mother and suddenly Armaan enters as if he is shocked to hear it all and seeing Sid putting his hand on Riddhima's mouth. I guess he only heard what he was suppose to hear, looks at her with wet eyes and was quiet for sometime (probably recalling his dialogues) Then when he could not recall his dialogues he repeated "tum mere pas zaroor wapas aaogee". And Sid was standing watching them in awe, thinking all this time "Yaar yeh kya mussebat paal li hai main nay"
All this time I was wondering if Stress was a terminal disease and suddenly Sid is worried as if his mom comes to know about his marriage she is going to die. I accepted that as a another comedy track and throughly enjoyed it. Who is not stressed nowadays, especially moms. But good thinking on part of the storywriters, what an idea, making mountain hill out of a mole. Never done before!!
Then the preCap, Sid stressed mother is helping Armaan and Riddhima get back together and all the interns are attending as per the new treatment technique for rehabilitation. Armaan and Riddhima are properly dressed up as larka and larki,Sid looks as if he is now saying "Jo karna hai karo buss ab yeh show toh khatam karo". At the same time the expression of helplessness on Sid's face translates to as if Sid has bought a Mercedes SL 600, but now he realizes that he cannot afford one.
I have finally understood the psyque of this show, take the most odd approach in resolving a problem. If you are driving a car and there is a Y fork at the end of the road, some people will think, you may turn right, some may think you will turn left.. our DMG CVs will go straight although there is no road straight ahead, but they will beat your imagination hands on.
With all due respect to everyone on the show, I have concluded that if I am not laughing at a scene, there is nothing wrong with the scene, onlyI have failed to understand the joke.

Swings her arms as if slapping and smiles"Ye Hain Laughter Ke Phatke", "hum aglay haftey phir aayengay, kyun ke hansi abhi Baaqi hai. "
The camera moves back as she waves her hand....................
