Yaar, CID is a fictionous show.It says so on the disclaimer itself. Sometimes, we need the TV for pure entertainment purposes. That's why we watch CID. You are completely misunderstanding my point. CID is really very entertaining and I love it. There is neither a discussion on depression nor a comparison between the two shows, Crime patrol and CID. I was just referring to yesterday's episode of CP and that's it. There is nothing more to it. I find that CID is depending on forensic science a bit more than what is necessary. I wish that CID solves cases using brains and intelligence. Its not that they don't use it. But that needs to be highlighted more. Didn't all of us love the holi case? Because it was just brilliant and the team cleverly outwitted the robbers. Everything was just superb in that episode. I wish more of these situations come in CID. The kind of investigation which I had wanted in CID happened to be in one of the episodes of CP. That is why I am referring the name of that show on the first place! Even in the beginning I had not described anything in general about Crime patrol, I was just referring to one of its episodes, nothing else. Even I believe that Crime patrol is too harsh and pessimistic. I just watched one of its episodes which was not so depressing and happened to like it. So I felt like mentioning it. Finally last but not the least, CID IS WAY BETTER THAN CRIME PATROL.

early years there was more of a balance between the investigators and the forensic department. But for some years now, they are focusing too much on ridiculous special effects in the forensic lab and useless comedy and not on actual investigation and plot. Clues randomly come and go, often not making much sense either. The forensics have descended to absurd levels.

Anyway, the writing seems to have improved recently so let's see. I am hoping they will try to recapture some of the old charm.

You have got me right. I really want the forensic part to be cut down a bit.
