Almost all of us are so engrossed in the outcome of the show and we are busy grading things in black and white. AR is good, SR is bad, or SR is good and AR is bad. We want the DMG team to show us what we want and not what they are keeping in store for us. Our egos are pushing us in different directions. We need to stop for a moment and think, we are the audience who needs to appreciate / praise the efforts of those who are working hard to provide entertainment for us. Instead, we are fighting our war of egos. Its high time that we appreciate their skills too.
One of them is Jennifer Winget. Mostly people admire and love her for her beauty. This is the feedback you come across on youtube and other forums. If crushes could kill she'd be dead long time back its probably the love of her fans that is keeping her alive. But is this all about her?
She has started to shine once she came back to the show and the entire story started to revolve around her. She was lucky to have the entire canvas to herself and very intelligently availed this opportunity. She must have thoroughly understood her new role because she has maintained her continuity. First her interaction with Sid. She came back and was possibly filled with anger of rejection from Armaan and she was angry with everyone. And she very nicely aired it out on Sid. The anger, bitterness, sarcasm in her tone, and dialogue delivery was excellent.
Then once she discovers that she was not told the truth about Armaan, she goes out in search of Armaan. Now in this segment she has acted differently. She successfully portrayed herself as a person who is desperate and who has lost her mind. At the sametime she also realises that Armaan loved her and sacrificed for her. Her tone changes completely and she is almost begging everyone to take her to Armaan and wants to fly to him and does not wait for anyone. She does not know what she is doing and where she is going (appeared senseless) and the Armaan was the only thing on her mind. Here again her acting was superb, if in the back of your mind you keep comparing with different artist even from the big screen and think of replacing her with them in that particular scene, you can easily see that there are not many who could do her job.
When she decides to marry Sid, she had suicide in my mind but Sid saves her. Now after her marriage with Sid she transforms into a quiet person who is fighting with herself. She wants to accept the fact that now she should love Sid and get settled in the new relationship, but her past is not letting her accept it. In this segment her performance was good but since she did not have enough dialogues, she mostly relied on her looks. The most remarkable scene was when she tells Sid that he matters to her and hugs him. Her palms are not fully open as she puts her hands around him as if from within inside she is still not fully ready to open herself to him.
The best thing I have noticed (other than the golden strapped sandals she wears in most of the scenes) she is very alert to the scene requirements and very agile (gemini trait!!) in changing her tone, eyes/smile and especially her body language to the scene requirements. She does not take anything casually. Which is a trait of a true professional. Although she is the Riddhima III but she justifies her selection with flying colors.
We should all thanks Jennifer Winget for her contribution to this show and entertaining us with her remarakable acting skills.
I would appreciate if anyone can add any good observations about her acting skills.
