this thing was preturbing me since long hence i thought to start a topic over it.
u all must hav been students once in ur lives and some might be studying still.is this justified to do favouritism amongst students.i think this creates a feeling of enviosity in students and effects unity badly.furthurmore when all the stds unite against a single innocent child then tht overhyped student gets depressed and this also effects the studies because all the children are not of same strength of enduring grudges and hard comments.
teachers must hav been students once then why dont they care abt other children feelings ?its nice to appreciate but this should not exceed the limit tht others think of them nobodies.
i hav faced both type of behaviours and felt miserable in both of them .whts ur take on it?

Children who excel in academics /sports/ cultural events tend to get appreciated by their teachers. Ppl who dont perform as well may feel envious. Both are natural human responses. Teachers can praise the deserving students but at the same time encourage others in a positive way. instead of harbouring negative feelings children shud strive to do better in order to earn the praise of their teachers.

I was the favirout student for one of my lectureres, everyone called me 'his adopted daughter' he helped me with my presentations and gave me hints on what IS coming in the exam =) Now I am planning on going back to the same university for a masters programme, all because of him.

oh I thought you mean herpes was more popular than gonorrhea when u said std's..

well I was the favourite of one accounts teacher who used to rave abt what a genius I was... ppl said he was partial , but he really meant it and it gave me confidence and self worth, something which previous teachers failed to inculcate in me, so it worked out in my favour and anyway the other students were awfully slow in accountancy :P

^ lol I thought that too. How can there be favorites among disgusting stds.

About the topic I think it's right. I was always my teachers' favorite. I worked hard for it. I rightfully deserved it. Why should my teacher treat the kid who doesn't respect her or even like her, doesn't do her work, doesn't work hard enough get the same treatment I get? I was and still am a natural teacher's pet. I like teachers.

It's not that teachers treat some students bad, it's just they treat the students they like a bit better. If it makes the other kids envious they should become wiser and work harder.

Favoritism is in every where - be it studies, work, or family. If you are the favored one, don't let it get to your head and definitely do not rub it in. You'll do just fine. If you are not the favored one - bhagwaan tumhari aatma ko shanti dey after bearing with the pangs of jealousy 😆
