Okay, so this is another post but unlike the usual happy happy ones its quite bold and I am only writing it without much thought simply to express my opinion. No bashing, like I said its my personal opinion and I think there is so much hate in the forums at the minute that I do not want to build up on it so please anyone with any comments which will cause distress/upset others please refrain from doing so.

Dil Mil Gaye started out as a youth based show for the youths i.e. youngsters like you and I, then again there were those who could relate to it but did not mean it was the only target audience, my mum and my sisters watch it alongside me and these are only a couple of examples. Due to its enjoyable, informative nature, Dil Mil Gaye set out to portray a storyline which was different to the "usual Saas Bahu" genre people were used to seeing everyday!

Understandably, Dil Mil Gaye had to develop at some point, it wasn't always going to stay "informative", for example with regards to a Doctor's day to day life as there are only so many aspects you can show else the situations will start getting repetitive. I can give an example where Armaan and Riddhima in one of their intial cases back in 2007 dealt with a patient who had scars implying she was getting abused by her husband whereas it was diagnosed that she suffered from a syndrome which brought on such symptoms. This year, we saw the new interns specifically Yuvi and Naina dealing with a similar patient but in this case, she was infact getting domestically abused by her husband. This is one of many examples.

As a result, Dil Mil Gaye began focusing on the "couples". Realistically, the new inters were introduced into the show, due to the personal problems the old actors were going through at the time and the viewers were informed that in fact the producers wanted "a fresh start" to the third season. However, due to a diminishing TRP rate, the producers had to reintroduce "Riddhima" back into the show. And not surprisingly, the TRP increased simply due to this change. However, I feel the situation was not dealt with correctly. With time, certain people accepted the new love track between Siddhima and DMG seemed to be getting its old flavour back, people were interested in watching the show due to its fast pace and alleged "new storyline".
However, Armaan's entry is where everything seems to have gone wrong. Please note, I love Armaan-
a) he was brought back SIMPLY due to public demand, there was so much confusion regarding his return in the show, where on the one hand we had a genuine Jennifer Winget asserting she was unaware of his comeback, there were people who saw him adopting the "bearded devdas" look only implying what had come of him in these last few months of his absence.
b) He has always epitomised DMG, although I will not take credit away from the whole team who brought it to the success that is at today. But with regards to characters, three riddhimas may have come into the show but there was only one Armaan who had romanced them. Shilpa, Sukiriti and Jen did amazing to portray their character but had Armaan been changed, there would have been chaos. Fact.
c) There is speculation, and I also agree with it, that "Armaan" 's appearance has changed since 2007, and I have to agree. Ever since his participation in JDJ KSG lost alot of weight and it is evident on his face, those cheeks never to come back, his face looks soo gaunt now. And it is here that people argued maybe he should be changed but truthfully I don't see anyone else fulfiling the role to as much perfection as he does.
Ultimately, I hold the management to blame, they clearly have not thought about the track. What once was a fast moving show has turned into complete drivel. DMG is a show I would watch to relieve me of the tension amounting throughout a working day, the comical aspect implemented was actually really funny. Then why do I feel that ever since showing the AR meeting promo early last week, the actual scene was only shown a couple of days ago. I know that the CVs want to savour the suspense for a prolonged moment but seriously, now that AR have finally met up, nothing has materialised. There are sooo many stories the CVs are trying and failing to show, that regardless of the attitude they take, couples such as YuNa are getting neglected. I feel as if there is not enough being generated of the characters to exemplify their true capabilities. And oh my gosh, the "jokes"....not funny.
DMG is most indefinitely leaving its "youth based" audience and heading towards the darker route of a "Ekta Kapoor" style "Saas bahu" drama. Especially, with the existence of Sid's mum who although has been missing for a good few episodes fits the bill perfectly!
The creatives seemed to be confused as to what to show now that Armaan Riddhima's rendevous has finally happened and are struggling to do justice to what seemed to be a really intense and appealing twist in the story. It is instead slow paced, and ,if anything, has increased the tension between the differing fan bases of the show. All in all nothing good has come of it and SBS confirming that HDDCS is the way the track is headed, everyone is in for further disappoitnement. It is why I feel that DMG has the "one nail left in the coffin". Even if Siddhima get together, all it would lead to is a repitition of scenes of what were once Armaan and Riddhima scenes....how pointless. We can't go anywhere after this?! So a request, please don't ruin what started off to be such a popular programme attracting attention, love, and support from people all around the globe! Its sad that this is what all those previous episodes are having to conclude with .....and the absence of such amazing characters? Atul, Anjali, Muskaan, Rahul to name a few.

I have nothing more to say, apologies if I offended anybody. Please don't put negative comments, I understand sentiments, I am a neutral party and a very upset fan of DMG.

Thank you for reading, over and out! x

i also agree..if sidma has to happen then what was the point of showing AR for the 2 last years and playing with our emotions.. :(
i hate cvs for creating this mess in DMG and ruining the real concept of DMG into ekta's style.. :(

phew.... finished reading!!
we all are in the same boat!!🤗 we look for entertainment and logic when watching serials, but as all serials intially there is entertainment, fun and logic but all that disappears after the serial completes 100 episodes and our very own completed 500!!!
I completely agree with each word u said!!!
DMG had a charm, a charisma of it's own when it started off in Sept 2007 - the stories , the characters, the dialogues the scenes - everthing was worth discussing in individual threads!! DMG was different as it was youth oriented and we don't a serial on medical drama!! It was new, informative and fun filled. But after few months the whole focused moved on Armaan and on his relationship with ridhimma!! KSG not doubt has lived Armaan on screen with his superb acting skills, his charm and his own style!! He is the eternal face of Dr Armaan Malik . Ridhimmas came and went by but DMG was running because of Armaan. Not because other characters were not capable, creatives never gave other character or actors a chance to prove themselves!!
They themselves made DMG synonymous with Armaan Ridhimma!!
This changed end of Sept 2009, when due to whtever reasons AR had to be killed and new interns were brought in! As i have watched DMG beginning till Feb 2008, i could very well comapare the old interns with the new ones but unfortunately they had good actors but not the same creatives!! That's the whole reason the interns plot wasn't developed properly as it was in 2007!! By now DMG was more abt couples romancing wearing a lab coat and stethoscope around their neck rather than a medical drama! I was shocked to see way the interns were giving CRP to a pateint, even a lay man wud have done it better than these interns.
The story picked up when ridhimma came back and Sidhimma caught the attention of many people esp the mature grown up audience! Everything was fine till CVs decided to introduce a blast from the past messing the story, the characters and DMG itself!!
This time CVs even butchered Armaan - the only character that had remained more or less consistant compared to other characters!! This just had me fuming, i have always liked Armaan and wanted him to remain within his character sketch - alas in their quest for higher TRPS CVS ruined their most brilliant creation, I can never forgive them for this!
Sid, was the reason for me watch DMG again, i liked him till Armaan showed up in sanjeevani! I was thankful of CVs for showing a nice character growth for Sid and keeping his basic nature the same throughout
But to my misfortune his goodness is becoming his foolishness!! soon he will be devdas of star one!
Ridhimma, the less said better!! She is turning prerna of star one oscillating b/w Armaan and Sid!!
Cvs royal drag is getting on every1's nerves - it took one who episode for Armaan to walk 5 steps towards Ridhimma!!
Armaan was so easily distracted by yuvi skating challenge and JP's unknown nana in his rendezvous with ridhimma!!
Armaan is openly chasing around a married woman in sanjeevani, now where r ppl like Stella????
Shanky has no clue of wht is happening in sanjeevani and in his daughter's life!!
Interns have a bet on who get's ridhimma!!
forget logic, we are just asking for commonsense!!!
cheers
Kai

Hey Nishita,

I know this is not a one shot or an ff but a general and honest opinion of yours.

So, it starts from the very initial phase of dmg. I don't remember much of sanjeevani the old show as I was a kid back then, but I know that it was not abt the medical cases and involved rahul juhi and simran tracks. So, Dmg being a sequel to such a couple never uniting + a vamp show and with all the K shows ruling the prime time, DMG came as a fresh breath of air.

There were medical cases, different characters, new faces, everything was perfect and then started the making of AR. The characters of A and R spread magic to its viewers and the show was a hit. This is when the cvs stopped their hard work and sat there happily showing the eyelocks and played the asmaani and ishq leta hain song every other day.

Then followed the replacement, chaos etc etc I don't need to write it down as the dmg controversies are so famous that everybody knows it. We don't have the right to talk about the actor's/actresses personal life but tell me who is being entirely 100 % professional here. Now-a –days the show bizz is so much twisted (work timings, actors throwing tantrums, production houses behavior) no one is being entirely professional and their personal lives do count for the outcome of the show and the result is obviously clear through the show and definitely effects us -the viewers.

Dmg has done so much of damage to itself that is impossible to repair it. It is one big Khicidi. It's high time they shut the shop down. At least the actors/actresses talents don't go wasted.

I am seeing a lot of frustrations, anger coming out with lot of honest opinions in the forum. How far can one stretch the elastic band; everything has a limit and so doe's dmg!

Love

Bhavi

brilliantly put..

The DMG which started in 20017 was lost long back.. but still we could watch it, we could relate to it sometimes, it still had its moments of brilliance.. but all that has changed since the new set has come in.. Im sorry if this statement is not acceptable to some.. But its laughable if anybody tries to suggest that yuvraaj, naina, jp and the others have even one tenth of the charm that rahul, muskaan, anjie and atul had.. even the only 2 common characters in the season one and 2- armaan and riddhima are not recognizable.. can u imagine yuvraaj, sid and jp sharing the kind of chemistry which rahul-armaan and atul had? impossible.. it was natural comedy.. male bonding at its best.. every character in season 1 had a definite "character". each was different.. each had some characteristics which defined him or her.. I fail to see anything like that in these new faces.. They are poor imitations of the old interns at best... even return of armaan cannot do much now, at least for me personally.. Whether AR or SR, i doubt anybody can watch this show with the kind of enthusiasm that was there sometime back.. Those golden days are gone.. I wish DMG had run to its glory and then shut down, when it was still at the top.. what we now have is an insult to the best show ive ever seen on Indian television... and the tragedy is its only going to get worse..
