Well AR love each other dearly! AR got hurt in a shot out in Sanjeevani at the end of last season... Armaan lost his mental stability n therefore went far away from Riddhima so that she won't have to suffer seeing him in such a state! He left for her own happiness... for her sake!

Riddhima was lied to by her dad saying that Armaan left as there was a threat she wud b unable to walk, when she found out the truth, she went looking for him! Armaan saw Riddhima but went away again, and after he saw her it helped him recover, gave him a hope that she still loves him like he does!

He did the performance to raise money for people with his illness! That's why he performed!
