I agree with you whole-heartedly... Abhimanyu entered the Chakravayuh without his stronger support Arjun and while the other Pandavas tried to save him they were helpless as they did not know the entry part also.
Similarly here also, Dev has now entered the Chakravayuh without his support Radhika and the other good Purohits who would try to save him will be helpless as they themselves don't know the truth. (see if RaDev would have visited Shantanu to his home in Malaysia they would have done it together and Radhika would have immediately told Dev that she was never - ever married to Shantanu, but now he is alone and you don't know what poison will Shantanu fill in Dev's ear to shake his trust in Radhika, though he won't believe now but eventually with all the plots and villian coming together this poisons will start showing its reaction).
I liked ur observation that the good Purohits are shown completely relying on Dev's strengths just as Shastri womes are shown to be relying on Radhika. Therefore if anything happens to Dev, it will be a big jolt for Purohit family. I think this is the main reason y all the villians r targetting him, b'coz they know that to finish Purohits they only need to finish Dev and once that is done they will be able to rejoice. They have bought Radhika in the threshold b'coz Radhika is the perfect soulmate of Dev, she has all those qualities which Dev needs in his wife to make him more strong. They have understood that if Radhika is the greatestt strength of Dev, then she is biggest weakness also.
Yes, why3 if the marriage truth is revealed in public to Dev then his trust in Radhika would break down b'coz there are many important bits and pieces of conversation and scenes between RaDev which would raise its hood on Dev's head and break his trust on Radhika.
In fact the trick of getting Visakha ritually married to Dev in Haridwar is not known by any of the Purohits or Shastri ji. He felt disgusted, angry and hurt with Radhika then only when he came to know that she did all the preparations for his wedding with Visakha when she knew that he loved her (Man !! I can never forget that angry glance which he shot at Radhika when Pandit ji mentioned that Radhika had done all the preparations... Radhika was not able to face that shot, she immediately put her eyes down guiltily). I magine now when he would remember that scene and many other thins which he had done for her which could have been easily avoided if she would have just raised her voice would really make him MAD on her and shake his trust to the core.
Moreover, it has been shown that from the time Radhika entered PB, RaDev had many scenes and important conversations between them which are unknown to others even Devki ji and other 2 Shastri womens r unaware of it. It has been shown that all the reasons behind Radhika's decision is known to Dev except the marriage truth. He knows her deepest secrets except this secret, so definitely more than anybody it will be DEV who wil be broken completely.
OHHH !!!! I EVEN DREAD THAT LOOK WHICH HE WOULD GET WHEN DEV WOULD COME TO KNOW OF THIS HORRIBLE TRUTH. He would go through so much of AGONY... I already feel so sorry for him...
