Samir Sharma who essayed the negative role of Brij in Imagine's Jyoti will be the new guy in Rani's life in Woh Rehne Waali...

Sahara One and Rajshri Productions' Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki will see the entry of a new family very soon. And with this, a new guy will be seen entering the life of Rani (Reena Kapoor).

There were reports of Amarr Upadhyay playing the role. But it is Samir Sharma who has bagged the prized role, and will start shoot very soon.

According to our source, "Aamir Dalvi who played the ghetto gangster Jeet Khanna was earlier brought in to kick-start a love angle for Rani. But now, the creative team has decided to bring in another guy who will eventually fall for Rani. It will make for an interesting track where both the guys fall for Rani and dream of marrying her. Samir Sharma has been finalized to play the role of Rishabh, the rich businessman who will come into the lady's life".

"Rani and Rishabh will accidentally meet, and it will be a mistaken identity for them in their first meeting. Rishabh's grandmom will like Rani, and will be determined to bring her into her house as Rishabh's wife. Later, Rishabh too will develop feelings for Rani, and they will get married. From here will start a new chapter in Rani's life", adds our source.

The casting for the family of Rishabh is on, and there will be many more characters introduced. Parallel tracks of Payal (Neha Desai), Rajini (Preeti Chaudhary) and Janki (Bhairavi Raichura) will be shown post Rani's marriage.

Coincidentally, the new guy who enters Rani's life also has the name of Rishabh, and this will be the sign of destiny that will help the family members in convincing Rani for the marriage.

Samir Sharma who was last seen playing the negative Brij in Imagine's Jyoti confirmed the news to Telly Buzz and said, "Yes, I am done with playing the negative role. I am now looking forward to playing the positive Rishabh in Woh Rehne Waali. I have always wanted to be associated with Rajshri Productions, and it feels nice to be part of the longest running show on television".

Elaborating on his role, the actor tells us, "Rishabh is a charming guy, a rich business man who is very sure about what he wants in life. I will be the new guy in Rani's life. It is a very interesting character and I am looking forward to starting shoot soon".

It was recently reported that Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki will take a leap very soon. But according to our source, "There is no leap on cards now. We have a lot to play with, and the introduction of Rani's new family is just the beginning".

The TellyBuzz article above was one thing, but the promos for this week ask whether Brij is re-surfacing? Unless they were referring to the new guy Gautam, seems very unlikely. Yet, they showed the guy in his cloak and everything, and suddenly, he takes it off and it's Brij.

And this time, he has no power to do anything to Jyoti - I wonder whether he's now targetting the Vashisths? I don't mind if he is, although I hope he doesn't target Sudha, but instead zooms in on Minal, if he does re-appear.
