I cannot believe Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has stooped to this leve l and in a way I am glad that good singers like Hema, Nihira are gone and did not have to do go through this ordeal, then again it might have been classy if they were there, since they really can sing well

You may not like Vinit's style of singing. Fine. I didn't particularly like Rajeev's. We all have our preference in that. But it doesn't mean we go about claiming or declaring that the rest aren't singers (just because we don't like them).
As far as the hypothetical situation... Yes, obviously it would have been different. Each individiual brings a unique dynamic with himself or herself. The three you mentioned are well versed in the classical forms of singing as well. While the assumption that they would have chosen to sing within their comfort zone is valid, it is equally possible that at this stage they would also have been interested in or comfortable enough to explore less familiar areas.
Trust me when I say that there would have been an equal amount of hype if any two of the three contestants you mentioned had been on stage instead. The difference would have been in the reason for the hype and mania.
I'll go as far as to give a hypothetical reason. These contestants are all relatively young. With youth comes energy and a different form of passion. The crowd feeds off this energy, and in return supplies energy for the performers.
