Hello everyone *hugs*

How are you?

Friends, we have an important announcement to make regarding our Kollywood section.

Unlike our bollywood and hollywood counterpart, the Kollywood section is not known to many, hence the activity in the section is not up to par. Therefore, in an attempt to liven up the section, we are taking the initiative to bring all four Southern Regional Cinema under one section. This would allow everyone watching the south indian movies to take part in the section and discuss. We are currently in the process of discussing, and wish to get inputs and feedbacks from our beloved members, that is you!!

So what do you guys feel about this initiative? And do you have any cool name for this new section?

Hi buddies,

Nice to hear about the new section.

I suggest the name SOUTH SCOPE

Already A South Indian filmi magazine is also running in this name. We can adapt this name to our new section. How is it?????????????????????????????????????

👏 I am so happy about this idea. When it comes to Telugu and Kannada I am not lucky to get the updates thru tv as we dont get Tel or Kann transmission😭...

Hope we get a lot of response for all the languages😊..
Specially Telugu & Kannada, so that we can also enjoy some good movies in Tel and Kann also and watching such movies can also make us get used to a new language.. I am not well verse in Telugu, but i can understand Tel😳 due to the movies.As many mentioned in the Tel thread I also knw the words in Telugu but talking fluently will take some time i guess😳.

So All the best to the team for this wonderful effort👍🏼.

awesome idea...wud love to have it as all 4 southern languages...also it'll b easy for ppl who know all d four or more than one of south languages...coz i myself know mallu, tamil and a lil of telugu...so its a very gud idea...i giv in for this!!! 😃

really its a good idea...i think i can get 2 know abt telugu,kannada,etc...sure this will be a success...my supports are there for our southern community..
in my mind i have the name as SOUTHERN GLOBE....wat say..?

I just suggest a few things
if you want this to be known as a SOuthern FIlms section, we will have to have discussions on all the south languages...and not just restrict ourselves to one.. I am not sure of the name...SOuthern FIlms Section is good as well

and maybe you can get a shortcut to this section on IF home page right next to hollywood forums and bollywood forums

I also wish u can have actors fanclubs here... I have seen and participated in Siddharth discussions mahesh babu discussions...

I hope I am making sense... half the people in IF dont knw this forum exists..

so the new section would have all southern languages too? wel i think its a pretty great idea 😃 and then u guys might combine a few other tamil cinema sections in it aswel...? i think that would help A LOT cause honestly i think there are a lil too many sections for those and it would be a lot easier for some to be combined. and yeah it would make it even more active with all the members going to just one place for that... great idea 😃👏

Good idea Mels. Why not? I am not expert in other languages (let alone tamil), but yeah, I am willing to try.

My suggestion before you name a new section, give this a trial for 3 months, if successful, then we can give a new name to this section.

Hopefully everything is discussed in English instead of manglish/tanglish/telugish.... etc. out of respect for others who wants to be involved in the discussion.
